One of the best tours we have ever done!! Instructions to meeting place was perfect. Our guide Georgia was outstanding!! The complex is vast and I can't imagine trying to find my way around. She knew the best way to go and so many facts. When our group got a little hot she quickly adjusted. We loved it, so glad for a private tour.
Outstanding! Maria Theresa, our guide, was friendly, knowledgable and patient with all the many questions we had. She provided good knowledge of the history and architecture of the Alhambra. She came ready with our tickets - very organised - and able to skip the lines. Although it was very crowded with tourists she easily navigated us through the crowds and allowed us to take as many pictures as we liked. We did have some difficulty with the meeting point, but shared this with Maria Theresa, who already thought of a good solution to make it more clear for future clients.
Our guide Anna was thorough and friendly. Knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. The meeting point however was a bit confusing as Google Maps led us to another place. Access to attractions was no fuss.
We had an amazing tour guide, Anis. He was a wealth of knowledge and was happy to answer any of our questions. It was a private tour that encompassed the entire compound and he shared details about everything including the plants and trees and the gardens. He is very passionate about the history of his home town and the Alhambra. We couldn’t have had a better experience.
This was an extremely well thought out tour. Our guide, Guillermo, had enclopedia-level knowledge of the Alhambra and he made it so interesting that we loved every minute. Absolutely fascinating experience we would highly recommend!
First of all, my wife booked this very expensive ticket without realizing that it includes municipal bus fares for nine trips and free entrance to numerous other monuments and museums in Granada. Fair enough. The tour of the Alhambra was fine - but still involved standing in line. But when we went to use our free entrance barcodes, one of them was always rejected. I was told “you already used this this morning at 10 AM” or “yesterday at 4 PM.” So this was kind of a rip off. I don’t know if it’s a computer problem or what but beware. This is a lot of money to pay for promises that are not kept.
I booked the tour because I accidentally had forgotten to book my tour six months ago, (no joke). I thought it was expensive but I was told it was to skip the line tour. It really isn’t. You still have to wait in line. My tour ticket includes entry into a bunch of other buildings that I’m not interested in seeing around Granada, as well as some bus tickets. This is not made clear on the site where I purchased. Most other people in my group paid about US$60 for the tour and my tour was US139. I went back to the TripAdvisor site where this Viator tour is booked through, there’s no mention of these “extras.” The guide was knowledgeable, but the crowds were pretty unbearable. If I had to do it again, I might get the audio guide so I could go slower and take more rest. She had to get through so much information that we ran over a half an hour. Our rest stop was only 10-15 min. I don’t recommend this three hour tour for anyone with mobility issues as there are steep stairs, slippery surfaces, and uneven pavement everywhere.
Be prepared for long enjoyable walks. Would recommend taking a guide with you to know more about the history!!
A complete disaster never ever used their services!! The guide was completely clueless, un prepare and the equipment never works, we never knew whats the guide was talking about it. She never finish the tour and we couldnt see the full alhambra because the alhambra closed without us finishing our tour!! A completely loose of money!!
Angela, our guide was incredibly articulate and knowledgeable about the Alhambra. We learned so much about the history of this area through her. We would definitely recommend this group for your visit to The Alhambra!!!!
