A palace that met all the comforts of the time for the emperor and his family, as the Alcázar, next to the Alhambra, Construction of the palace began in 1527 and financed entirely in 1957.
The habitual residence of the kings of Granada, their construction began at the beginning of the 14th century. The Nasrid Palaces are a palatial complex formed by three buildings: - The Mexuar is the oldest hall. It was employed for meetings between the ministers of the king and as a courtroom. - Next, we come to the Palace of Comares, which dates back to the era of Yusuf I. This dwelling was erected around the Patio de los Arrayanes (Courtyard of the Myrtles), and its side exits lead to the Sala de los Embajadores (Hall of Ambassadors) and the Sala de la Barca (Hall of the Boat). The Hall of Ambassadors is located inside the Tower of Comares. - The Palace of the Lions, dating back to the era of Muhammed V, is also a royal residence. It is composed of a central courtyard, the Courtyard of the Lions, and halls along each side, the Hall of the Mocarabes, the Hall of the Kings, the Hall of the Two Sisters, the Hall of the Ajimeces, leading on to the mirador Daraxa viewpoint, and the Hall of the Abencerrajes, along with the Harem.
Beyond the walls of the Alhambra, in a mountain called Cerro del Sol, lies the Generalife, a country estate belonging to the Nasrid sultans that was also used for agricultural production. You´ll discover the summer Palace, a residence known as the Royal palace of Happiness, full of vast gardens with a huge range of flowers and vegetation.

We had three wonderful hours of enjoying one of the most amazing sites in the world. Get on your walking shoes and be ready to climb many many stairs to view the beauty of the buildings, the rose gardens in bloom right now in May 2026. The Alhambra is like going back in time to Another culture. The beauty of the architectural and the carvings which make it so, are beyond description. You just have to go there to see it for yourself. Our guide was so knowledgeable. You can tell they have to study for years so they can share so much history with us.

Unique experience. Our thanks go to Rosa, she led us wonderfully through the Alhambra. Very sympathetic. She is very experienced , knows the special highlights and we have received a lot of background information. Small group up to 6 people is highly recommended.

The visit to the Alhambra, Generalife and Nasrid Palaces was simply unforgettable. Despite the duration of about three hours, time flew: thanks to the guide, ALAIN, who was able to perfectly manage the rhythms of the visit, making it always engaging and never tiring. In fact, in the end, I'm sorry it's already over! ALAIN was really fantastic: very prepared, clear in his explanations and able to keep the attention of our boys (14 and 10 years old) high. He was able to transmit with passion the historical and cultural richness of the place, enhancing every detail. In addition to being extremely cultured, he was also witty and eclectic, creating a pleasant and dynamic atmosphere throughout the visit. His knowledge of Italy and its many cultural references were particularly appreciated, which made the experience even more interesting and close. An absolutely recommended experience! On time and pending our times to observe or take photos. Two of us had trains and adjusted the visit to get there on time. I personally had never seen the Alhambra with guide and it was wonderful, very very enjoyable. It's definitely worth it.

We had such a wonderful tour with Gustavo. He was so interesting and knowledgeable as well as personable and so friendly. The Alhambra was amazing, and we got so much more out of it with the tour and learned a lot we would have missed. Our 11 year old son was with us on the tour and he really enjoyed it too, and Gustavo answered all his questions as well. A wonderful tour!
