Purchase tickets directly from Alhambra not 2nd party operators

Be mindful that if you are late for the start time even by 10 min and if the group has entered the Alhambra you will not be able to join and you will be left at the entrance with no assistance. Unfortunately this happened to us and we tried desperately to contact Granada A Pie who had our ticket to enter the Alhambra and refused to assist us in anyway. Their response was basically- too bad not our problem. If you are visiting the Alhambra purchase your tickets directly through them as they are there on site to assist.

Operator response

Good afternoon. As you mentioned, if customers arrive late for the tour, they are not permitted to participate and will therefore be left outside the monument. Punctuality is very important for this tour. Best regards.

Highly recommended activity, great level of the guide

The visit has been excellent, due to the beauty of the Alhambra, because of it. In how organized it was and to a greater extent due to the excellent guide, Marta, who accompanied us on the visit. Marta has been a perfect example of knowledge, friendliness, and telling anecdotes perfectly related to each moment of the visit. A visit that you cannot miss.

Excellent visit with Ramon

We are 5 Canarians and we are delighted with the visit that our guide Ramón has given us. He has explained everything in detail and with a perfect pace to facilitate understanding. Fully recommended.

To flee

Visit cancelled the day before, refund never received — avoid! Booking for the guided tour of the Alhambra and the Nasrid palaces (ref. GYGWZAZ8XB62). The day before the visit, Granada a Pie informs us by email that the guide is cancelled. Yeah. But what they fail to make clear: the slot for the Nasrid palaces has been moved from 12:00 to 17:30, without our consent. As a result, we couldn’t organize ourselves in such a short time, we couldn’t access the Nasrid palaces. The agency promised a partial refund in its message. Several days later, nothing. Double harm: the uninsured guided tour, and the Nasrid palaces inaccessible because of a last minute unilateral change of schedule. You should absolutely avoid.

Operator response

Good afternoon. As specified on your reservation voucher, due to the monument’s large capacity, the start time may be changed up to 24 hours before the date of your visit. For this reason, we recommend that you do not travel on the same day. Please be sure to read the fine print when making this type of reservation. Best regards.

SCAMMERS NEVER USE THEM

AN ABSOLUTE EMBARRASSMENT let us know 24h before the visit that they do not have tickets and that they do not know if they will, we made the reservation 1 month before. In the end they tell us that they do not have tickets and that we will not be able to make the visit. There are relatives who have come from latam for this. Wasting time and money and leaving without being able to see the monument because of these scoundrels. They give us no alternative and the worst part is that they leave us no room to look for it. No doubt don't waste your time with this mob, they're gonna rip you off.

They told me to read the small print! Nice service! Book with a reputable 3rd party!

They can change your tour time and offer no refund. Ours was moved from noon to 5pm which we can’t do. They told me to read the small print and it’s too late to change!

Misleading business practices, unfriendly support

Granada a Pie sells Alhambra tours for which they obviously do not have any secured tickets. If they are unable to obtain tickets for the time booked, the date is simply postponed unilaterally – without consulting customers. In our case, the tour was postponed by two hours from 1:00 p.m. by email, less than 1.5 hours before the original date. The entire group had already arrived, and most had not even received the message in time. When we contacted by phone to clarify the situation, we were greeted with unkindness and complete incomprehension. Instead of goodwill or even an apology, there was no accommodation whatsoever – neither an explanation nor an appropriate solution was offered. This approach is absolutely unacceptable: Anyone who sells tours for fixed time slots without actually having the corresponding tickets deliberately deceives their customers. Combined with an arrogant and unhelpful customer service, this is a company that is better not trusted with your money. Clear recommendation: Book Alhambra tickets exclusively directly through the official website and avoid third-party providers like this.

A must-see visit and an unforgettable moment

Even though we are far from fully understanding Spanish, the visit was fantastic and very immersive. Our guide, Carmina, was very dynamic and showed us the most relevant viewpoints of the site. Nasrid Palaces is like a waking dream.

The company is a SCAM

We were scammed by this company saying we weren’t present on time and the guide left without us. The meetup instructions were vague “meet outside the cafe bar near ticket entrance” and after asking multiple people for help and waiting in three different places we found a number to call for help and was told our tickets were inside the bar. Though the guide was supposedly only five minutes in to the tour the company said they were unable to reach the guide or provide the name of the guide. We asked every English speaking guide we encountered and no one was missing five people. We called for THREE HOURS and the company refused to answer.

Operator response

Dear customer. The meeting point is specified on the booking voucher and you should not enter the café at any time. You simply need to meet the guide outside, as did the other 20 participants in the group who arrived on time and were able to take the guided tour. You arrived after the start time and called our agency about 20 minutes later, which is why we told you to pick up your tickets inside the café so that you could take the tour on your own. Once the guided tour has started, we cannot give any information about the guide because this disturbs the group that has been at the meeting point at the appointed time. We were in constant contact with you during the three hours you were calling and texting, but you refused to accept that you had lost your right to the tour. It is not our responsibility or that of the guide to look for customers who arrive late. It is your responsibility to arrive at the time indicated on the voucher, and if you are lost or need help, you should contact us in advance, not 20 minutes later, as was the case here. According to the rules, if you do not show up at the start of the tour, you automatically lose the visit and the tickets. We were kind enough to provide you with tickets to visit the monument on your own, which you did not do because you were complaining instead of enjoying the day. We hope this has taught you to be punctual in the future. Regards!
