If it is option selected visit the Alhambra. Perched high on the hill overlooking the city, the incredible palace complex was first built as a fortress at the start of the 13th century. Successions of Spanish rulers made Alhambra their home. Skip past the long entrance lines with your priority access ticket and walk around inside with your guide, hearing all the history of this fascinating site. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Step inside the Hall of Abencerrajes to gaze up at its star-shaped domed ceiling, and hear the tale of the massacre that took place here during a 15th century banquet. After exploring the palaces, head to the Generalife Gardens to discover where the sultans and Moorish kings of bygone days once relaxed. .

It was a great experience a wonderful trip through the history of Spain. The architecture was amazing and the craftsmanship with which the palaces are built amazing! It was a long day but very rewarding. The guide at Alhambra, Alain was very good, kept the pace up and was also funny. Overall a great day that you will think back to! Greeting Feikie and Adriaan

From the description, I thought I was getting a tour inside the Alhambra but in fact it was outside the grounds. The tour guide was actually very, very good, but I felt like this was false advertising.

really enjoyed the tour our guide Sara was excellent she spoke really good English and knew so much about the history of the Alhambra - would definitely recommend booking this tour - it took approx 2-2.5 hours we had booked for 2pm but the local tour company texted to say it was changed to 3pm we were able to walk from our hotel and had a bite lunch in a nice bar near the meeting point until it was time to go in the place is amazing with fantastic views and photo opportunities

Really interesting way to see the outer parts of the Alhambra. Felipe was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and entertaining. We felt very welcome. The meeting point was tricky to find and we had to rely on asking other tour guides - much less friendly than ours - to point us in the right direction.

The tour was fascinating. A key moment in our stay in Granada Hector, our guide, was so comfortable with the topics at hand that he relied on our questions, which made the tour very interesting. If only all guides could be as knowledgeable and charming as he is! We took a beautiful journey through time and the history of Spain!

We wanted to see the inside of the Alhambra but the tickets were sold out way in advance. This was a lovely and very interesting tour of the outer areas that are free to visit, but our tour guide gave us so much to look at as well as the history behind the details that we would never have known had we tried to go on our own. He was very knowledgeable and patient, and seamlessly switched from English to Spanish for the mixed group. This was a good option if you are like us and are unable to get tickets to see the entire Alhambra during your visit to Granada.
