The Alhambra, located on the Sabica hill, is an Andalusian palatine city. Its name comes from the reddish colour of its walls, coming from the clay of the land itself (Al-Hamra in Arabic). It is formed by a group of palaces, gardens and fortress where there was a citadel within the city of Granada itself, its main function was to serve as accommodation for the monarch and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. There are also Christian settlements, such as the palace of Charles V and the church of Santa Maria, built on top of the old mosque. It is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. Enjoy the visit with an official guide.
Carlos V's palace is a Renaissance construction by the architect Pedro Machuca. The palace is unique in its style, forming a square with a circular courtyard inscribed inside. It is the most outstanding work of the Spanish Renaissance.
The Generalife is the villa with gardens used by the Muslim kings of Granada as a place of retreat and rest. It was conceived as a rural villa, where ornamental gardens, orchards and architecture were integrated in the vicinity of the Alhambra. The name we give to the Generalife complex literally means Yannat al-Arif: "The Architect's Garden", an allusion to the gardens and orchards that supplied fruit and vegetables to the Nasrid court. However, the palace to which we are heading, designed as a resting place for the monarch, was what the poet Ibn al-Jayyab called "the royal house of happiness".
The Alcazaba is the oldest part of the Alhambra, from the Arabic: القصبة al-qaṣbah (citadel) was a fortified enclosure of urban character, whose function was to serve as royal residence to Mohamed I until the Palaces were finished, from there its function was purely military.

When buying the tour, I didn't understand that I didn't choose the entrance to the Nasrid palace; it was a shame since the guide warned us that our visit ended very quickly. In my opinion, it is not well explained whether or not it includes the palace. Even after the tour, I went back to the website to look for the tour I had bought and look for the tour I really wanted to do, the one with the guided visit with the palace included. I liked the guided tour, the guide is TOP, she made the tour very pleasant and answered all our questions. Thank you for your attention!
I booked an entrance to the Alhambra with a guide for two with My Top Tour for the price of €112. That same morning, I was told that the tour was canceled and that I would have an audio guide as a replacement. When I asked for a refund, they replied that the refund would be €10. I heard that it happened to other groups or couples. Be careful!!!!

Quando questo minimo non viene raggiunto, il tour guidato non può svolgersi e viene offerta un’alternativa con audioguida, affinché il cliente possa comunque accedere all’Alhambra e realizzare la visita. Comprendiamo che una visita con guida e una visita con audioguida non siano la stessa esperienza, e ci dispiace che il cambio comunicato la stessa mattina abbia causato disagio. Per quanto riguarda l’importo del rimborso indicato, questo viene calcolato tenendo conto del fatto che i biglietti ufficiali erano già stati gestiti, insieme agli altri servizi inclusi nella prenotazione. Agreed on ticket + guide for 56 euros (21 for the ticket + 35 for the guide), paid in advance. A few hours before the tour, I am informed that instead of the guide, an audio guide will be provided and only 5 euros will be refunded. From this, one can deduce that the audio guide cost 30 euros! A scam to be reported to the competent authorities.

Il prezzo del biglietto ufficiale è quindi solo una parte dell’importo totale pagato, poiché il servizio include anche la gestione e il supporto associati all’esperienza. The guide knew less about the Alhambra than I did. All the information from the guide was already known to me and the guide didn't tell a couple of important things about the Alhambra. The guide didn't pay attention to where everybody of our (small, 9 people) group was so I was always far behind. Sometimes the guide was so far ahead that I lost reception on my headset.

After an hour of waiting, they changed guides due to overbooking, so they provided an external guide not affiliated with the company. We were completely satisfied with their kindness and professionalism. A 10 for her.

Caution! Do not book! Tourist trap!! A personal guide is being sold, everything should be included, including Nasrid palaces. On site, we were then enticed with an audio tour and promised a €50 refund if we returned before 8:30 PM after the tour. The audio tour was well explained. We did not receive any money back; they said it was our fault! The Nasrid palaces are not included in the price!! Ultimately, it would have been much cheaper on the official site, and you don't have to wait in line there; that's also a sales tactic!! I complained and expressed my honest opinion upon inquiry; I was offered that a manager would contact me, but even 10 days later, nothing has happened! Stay away from my top tours!!
