We booked at the kiosk at the marina and managed to get spots on the next trip that day. When booking they clearly explained what to expect, where and when to meet. The crew on the boat were brilliant. They were very informative, enthusiastic and friendly. We headed straight out to where there were wild dolphins and got very close to a group of dolphins. The captain steered the boat around the group so everyone could get a good view. One of the crew members told us interesting facts about the dolphins while we were watching them swimming around the boat. After the dolphins, we headed to Benagil cave which was very busy, but we got to go right into the cave on the boat. We saw lots of other caves and interesting formations along the coast and the crew explained each of them in good detail. We did not stop for a swim at one of the beauty spots as planned, because there were some people on the boat suffering with sea sickness, but this was explained to everyone and did not affect the quality of the trip. It was a wonderful entertaining and educational experience. I would definitely recommend!
Great boat tour on the Algarve coast - Not just the Benagil Cave, but many more grottoes and beaches.
Such an amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was well organized and Hugo and Ines were amazing travel guides. Hugo was hilarious and made the trip super enjoyable mines was super knowledgeable and took amazing pictures of my family. We got to see many dolphins which was so amazing. Thanks for the amazing memories :)
Our family of two adults, an eleven year old and a nine year old took the 2.5 hour boat trip one weekday afternoon in July. Our crew were friendly and efficient but perhaps not giving so much rich history about Portugal's coastline, beaches, caves and sea life. Had they done this, we would have left more of a tip! The boat sped along the coastline then stopped for those who wanted a quick swim. About 10 minutes and that was it. The cave visit was impressive as many tour boats jostled to go in and out the caves. I felt sorry for the kayaks, canoes and paddle boarders who got big waves from the boats. No dolphins on our trip but not everyone gets to see them. Overall, a good trip out to sea. Enjoy.
Was not allowed to do swimming stops at all as one person was apparently sea sick (think the staff just couldn't be bothered to stop as we didnt see this alleged person at the back and they first said it was a woman then said it was a man?) The other boat (there were 2 that set off for the same tour) must have also had someone seasick as they didnt get a swim stop either. Not much explaining the sights either. Didnt spot any dolphins too (thats not their fault though of course, it could have been a lot better just felt like a little ride around the sea. Then they had the audacity to shake a tip box around at every person. Really really disappointed.
Scam, they don’t do the sea swim, instead they say someone if too sick so they can’t stop the boat, after complaining to the captain he said someone in the back is too sick to stop. I went to toilet and checked and there was no one in the back other than staff. Told they will not refund us.
Superb walk. We saw dolphins and visited the famous cave. Guaranteed atmosphere. Unforgettable visit! Thank you!
We were promised a dolphin watch, caves tour and stop off for a swim in the sea. The staff looked as though they were running behind time and made up an excuse that someone was feeling sick on the boat so nobody was allowed to go for a swim. IF YOU GET SEA SICK..then don’t go on a boat! The staff from the onset kept saying, if anyone feels such then come to the back of the boat, so it seemed a scam from the start. It promises a stop off and swim in their leaflet but when asked for our money back they wouldn’t reimburse us. We had only taken this cruise for our five children so they could swim in the ocean. We saw dolphins and quick trip to the caves but just feel scammed!
A wonderful trip and service, both the captain and the guides, especially the guide in Porto who was charming!! He informed us about beaches and took photos for us. We loved it
Great overall despite rough seas. People sensitive to motion sickness should abstain in this case. Pleasant outing: we saw dolphins! One downside: swimming and visiting inside the caves was impossible. Very friendly staff. I recommend it.
