If you get the right guide (we had Teddy) this is a phenomenal experience. He took us to all the right places and gave us time to experience the areas. We were able to see Bears and Seals ..of course we saw Eagles but they are plentiful in Alaska.
Leo was a very nice guy and very informative but often didn’t wear his headset so we couldn’t hear him in the back row. We saw plenty of of bald eagles, a beautiful waterfall and even 2 bears which was exciting. We went to the same spot three times looking for bears which I thought was a bit much but in the end we did get to see two bears in that area. I expected more from this tour but overall we were happy
Teddy was a great guide and went above and beyond to get us to the best viewing sites. Enjoyed the small shuttle
We didn't see any bears. Our tour guide really tried but they just weren't coming out. I think we spent too much time at Herring Cove.
Despite the tour booked in advance and paid for. The guide did not turn up and didn’t contact me to cancel. Totally unacceptable
Hi Sarah. I have tried to reach out to you multiple times. Your guide was there and on time as we had five vans go out that day with other passengers. Furthermore, I used my connections to put you on another tour operators tour so you could still go out and have a good time (which we paid for out of our pocket) so I am failing to see how this equates in a negative review. Please contact us when you get a chance.
Great tour! Teddy was very informative and funny. Really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend
Leo is an excellent guide born locally and knows his area. That is where the excursion drops off.We saw nothing of the wildlife but a baby bear cub.We saw a waterfall that was very very small and not inspiring and that was the tour.Add a few dollars and look for a better one
A big thank you to Leo of the Raven Clan for guiding us on this excursion. He is knowledgeable, kind, and sensitive to the desires of his clients. He knew our primary desire was to see a bear, so he went above and beyond to try to make that happen. And, because of his persistence, we were able to see the butt of a bear! We gained an appreciation for the beauty and culture of Ketchikan, and look forward to visiting again in the future.
The experience was amazing with our guide Jody Hunton she shows us a wonderful wild life I recomend be with her.
We were met right on time and hopped into the comfy vans. Our guide (can't remember her name but she is the owner of the company we went with) was full of enthusiasm and information. We went searching for bears in all her favorite spots---didn't see any but we had been warned we might not because the day was so warm. We did see several bald eagles! And learned plenty about the totem poles the town is known for.
