Walk along the viewpoints on both sides of the falls, take stunning photos, and experience the raw beauty and historical significance of this remarkable natural landmark.

This peaceful area offers a great opportunity for a short stroll, photos, and a closer look at Iceland’s fascinating volcanic nature.

Lake Myvatn Godafoss and Lava tours

It's an exciting adventure! You go all the way to the highest point of the mountain and explore, weather permitting. We also had a lovely stop at a woman's family's farm house with delicious cake and tea.

Wonderful, thorough tour!!

This tour was a great experience. We saw the power of Godafoss, in the wind and some rain, and learned much about the lava fields, lakes and geothermal features of the area. Our guide and driver were terrific. One tip - no matter what the weather is like in port, dress warmly and prepare for rain and wind near the waterfall.

Perfect timing while covering all the bases.

Excellent tour with well timed stops. If you want to see Falls, Lakes, Lava Fields, and scenic Iceland, this covers all the bases. Ebba?, our tour guide and Cooper did a great job keeping us on schedule while explaining Icelandic life and detailing what we would see at each stop. Loved her passion for her hometown and country, made the trip worth complete. She also has a wonderful Icelandic accent that you can understand and learn from!! Just wish I could remember how to spell her name!!!🙁

Operator response

Thank you for this wonderful review. Your guide was Unnur and your driver was Kuba, and they will be delighted to hear how much you enjoyed the day. And you are not alone, Icelandic names like to test everyone’s memory. We are very glad the experience stayed with you and hope to see you again on another adventure.

Hidden gem

This tour was a hidden gem. I was lucky to find it. We only had one day in the city, and this tour managed to pack an incredible number of experiences and sights into just six hours. My mom is 70, and she was able to handle almost everything comfortably, with the only exception being the descent into the Game of Thrones cave, which she chose not to do. Our guide, Anna, and driver, Kuba, kept everything running smoothly and on schedule. There were a few stops where I wished we’d had more time, but by the end of the day, I realized the timing was perfect. If we had spent longer at each stop, I probably would have run out of energy by the end of the day

Operator response

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear the tour worked so well for both you and your mom and that Ana and Kuba helped make the day run smoothly. It is wonderful to hear the pacing felt just right in the end. We truly appreciate you choosing to spend your day in Iceland with us!

Covers a lot in the short...

Covers a lot in the short time in port! Fantastic guide Anna and driver took us everywhere and even added an extra photo stop. Great places to see and explore and a great way to see it if you’re just here for a short time.
