Good set up with parking and shuttle buses. Highly recommend the guide app, where you can go at your own pace and receive very good information on your phone. The garden is not necessary to visit if you are not very interested in ordinary trees. Bring water, it can get very hot.
The Mexican guide is the best we have had in a long time. Very entertaining, fun, and as Sicilian as they come!! A delight. She helps you understand perfectly the history of what you want to visit.
The guide Alessio is excellent; his passion really shows when he tells you the history. The place and archaeological remains should be much more famous than they are today, as they are spectacular!
Truly incredible to see antiquities so close . Our guide really explained the history and stories surrounding the valley very well indeed . She told stories of current Sicilian traditions that had origins in the past .

This was an interesting tour at a reasonable price. Our guide (didn’t get his name) was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history and the area. Two negatives: 1. The organisation is a bit chaotic. The meeting point is actually outside the ticket office (as you can’t get in without a ticket) and not by the temple. Also our guide was running about trying to find people, so it got a bit confusing as to what was happening. 2. We did this tour during the heatwave. It was still 40c at 5pm which was overwhelming. More than half the group abandoned the tour before the end. The guide tried to keep us in the shade as much as possible but a lot of the tour is walking in the heat so be warned!
Great time, tour guide was well educated and entertaining. Beautiful ruins and a top excursion of our family Sicily trip.
