Agios Nikolaos Catamaran to Spinalonga Fishing and Meal

Description
We leave from Agios Nikolaos Marina and sail into the Mirabello Gulf, one of the most dramatic bays in Greece. Along the way, we troll for tuna and bonito the way local fishermen always have — if something takes the bait, everyone gets involved. We pass Spinalonga, the Venetian fortress and former leper colony that inspired Victoria Hislop's novel The Island, with your crew sharing its story as you take in the view. We anchor in a sheltered bay with clear turquoise water — swim, snorkel among Cretan marine life, or fish straight from the boat. All equipment is on board. Want to know how the boat works? Ask. The crew is happy to share — reading the wind, handling the sails, navigating these waters. Get involved as much or as little as you like. When it's time to eat: shrimp pasta, dakos, tzatziki, fresh salads, and a fruit platter, all made with local ingredients. To drink: unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks, water, and a glass of raki to finish — the way any good Cretan meal ends.
