Superb activated, go there with your eyes closed and the guide is excellent. Beautiful city with its medina and its ramparts.... beautiful day
Do this trip! Pick up from hotel, air conditioned mini bus. The journey from Agadir is about 3 and half hours. They do stop for a toilet break half way and then stop at an Argan oil cooperative which in my opinion should be optional. Essaouira is my favourite place we visited. Just beautiful, such a lovely vibe, almost Greek with its blue and white colouring. The medina is great and well worth the long drive. Our guide Abdul was lovely if a little forceful sometimes, he had a schedule and really wanted to stick to it. I would have preferred some more laid back moments. You get lots of time to explore yourself which is what we really loved, finding the little shops tucked away through the narrow streets. We predictably got lost and went the opposite way to where we needed to be. Abdul did all he could to come find us, had the company call us but we had no Internet so they didn't come through, this was much appreciated by us. The booking does say there is a stop at a beach for photos but this wasn't done on ours which was a shame but would still 100% recommend this trip, great value for money!! Just a tip though, the roads are very twisty and turvy so be aware of this

This was a really nice day trip. The tour guide, Hassan, told us a lot about the landscapes, history, etc. The drive is really long (3 hours each direction). But it’s worth it, especially because there’s not much to do in Agadir.
