A Self-Guided Audio Tour Around Parc Montsouris

Description
Escape the crowds that linger on Paris’ large avenues to a neighborhood filled with bucolic scenes within the city. On this audio tour, the local Comte de Saint-Germain will show you a side of Paris that most people don’t see. You'll wind your way through streets adorned with art nouveau mosaics around Parc Montsouris in the 14th arrondissement, to a small plaza in the 13th arrondissement that'll remind you of Provence. Along the way, he’ll tell you about Paris’ complex water system and let you in on where the city’s drinking water comes from. (Here’s a hint, it doesn’t come from the Seine River!) Allow 1.5 hours for this walk. There are several stops, some with benches for you to rest on, and public restrooms along the way. You can download the tour on your phone and do it at any time to enjoy virtually using VoiceMap's Continuous Play option or on-site where the GPS will guide you: just listen to the stories of diverse locals and follow the Comte’s directions.

We had a great time following this audio tour. Even though we got momentarily lost in a couple of occasions, it was great experience. Discovering such interesting and hidden parts of the area was so enjoyable.
My Mum and I were not sure how to spend our last hours in Paris, when I came across this self guided tour. How lucky I did, we thoroughly enjoyed it We loved walking down back streets looking at the pretty , quaint houses as well as seeing some sights and history that we were unaware of. The app was easy to install and being able to hear and read the information was very handy. The only improvement I would add is giving instructions how to get to the metro, tram or bus as we had an anxious time trying to work out how to get back to our accommodation.
Hopeless! The entire excursion was a disaster. A complete waste of a morning in Paris! The audio was confusing and we were unable to progress past the first bit of the audio. If we faced the wrong way or could not locate the walking area it would tell us er were lost. This happened continually until we gave up and caught a taxi to our hotel. I am very upset and angry that this was so extremely difficultly follow! We are experienced travellers too!
Hi Katie We're sorry you had difficulty getting the tour to work. It's a well-enjoyed tour with countless five-star reviews on VoiceMap. Could you please get in contact with us directly about your experience so we can investigate what happened? Thanks, Alicia
This company has a lot of tours like this for approx $7 each. I have done several and all have been wonderful.
I have lived in this area of Paris for five years, and discovered lots of new sights and history. The tour really takes you off the beaten path, and makes you look at things with fresh eyes. Highly recommended, and hoping the Count of Saint-Germain does more tours soon!
