An excellent tour of Santiago. We got to see a lot of buildings and sites, new and old, and learn some of the cultural history of Chile. My guide, Eugenio, was highly knowledgeable and interesting to talk with. When I discovered that I was working on learning Spanish, he took the time when we were in-between locations to talk with me in Spanish so I could get more practice.
I highly recommend making a guided visit with Eugenius. Surely we were able to observe and learn a bit of the history of Santiago. Very good.
This tour was wonderful! Eugene was very knowledgeable and personable. The group was small, so it was easy to stay together and hear our guide. He educated us on the history of Santiago, and Chile as a whole while showing us around the city. He took us to historical sites, government buildings, and parks with lovely views. He also gave thoughtful and informed suggestions for the rest of our time here. I highly recommend this afternoon tour!
This Santiago walking tour was incredibly helpful for someone who had just arrived in the city. Our guide, Eugene, shared both the historical background and the perspective of someone who actually lives here, which added valuable context. We visited several of Santiago’s essential landmarks, making it a great way to get oriented. My only critique is that, at times, he spoke a little too quickly, which made it difficult to keep up. Otherwise, this was an insightful tour and one I’d definitely recommend adding to your itinerary.
The guide told us a good mix of history and culture of Santiago and Chile. Answered all our questions. Very polite and looked after everyone in our group.
Eugênio was very friendly, it was very nice to understand a little about the history of Santiago, he also always answered all the questions we had. I recommend it to everyone!
Guia Eugênio was excellent! We loved the walk.
I had a wonderful experience on A Fabulous Walking Tour by the Old Santiago of Chile with Eugenio as our guide. Eugenio has an impressive knowledge of Santiago’s history, architecture, politics, and culture. He explained everything in a very engaging way, connecting historical events with modern-day Chile, which made the city come alive. His passion for his city is genuine and contagious. What I appreciated most was that the tour never felt rushed. He patiently answered every question and shared many fascinating stories and local insights that you would never discover on your own. His English is excellent, and his sense of humor made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed. The route covered many of Santiago’s most important landmarks while also introducing us to hidden corners and local perspectives. By the end of the tour, I felt I had gained a much deeper understanding of Chile, not just its history but also its people and culture. If you’re visiting Santiago for the first time, I highly recommend taking this tour with Eugenio. It is informative, well-organized, entertaining, and absolutely worth your time. Thank you, Eugenio, for making my visit to Santiago so memorable! Highly recommended!
The walk was great! It was possible to know the history of Chile in a very engaging way. Ride without rush, stop to know some places inside, plus lots of photos. I recommend.
Eugene is a fabulous guide. In-depth information regarding history, politics and the economy. A very balanced view. He also tailored the tour to incorporate interests and professions. Great experience Cathy.
