9 Day Northern Circuit Route Kilimanjaro Private Expedition
Description
The Northern Circuit is one of the newest routes on Kilimanjaro. It is an amazing climb and the only one that circles clockwise around the north side of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Northern Circuit begins at the Lemosho gate and ascends through the lush rainforest. It follows the Lemosho path for the first few days. The route continues ascending to the desolate yet beautiful Shira Plateau in the Heather/Moorland zone. From there the route continues to the prominent Lava Tower before heading north on the only route on that side of Kilimanjaro. You will feel like you have the entire mountain to yourself as you are treated to amazing views of Kenya below. It continues to circle around until it reaches the northeast side and heads for the summit from there.

Pickup Locations & Times
We pick up and drop off clients at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and Arusha Airport day and night hours, we work 24 hours. We will pick you up at the arrival hall. The driver will be waiting for you with a signboard with the lead traveler name. Or your own name if you are traveling alone.

The trip started off very promising with a delicious welcome drink and became better and better. With his never ending optimism and welcoming smile our guide Goodluck won over the most hesitant of us in minutes. The trip was the closest to all-inclusive luxury holiday we’ll ever get. Tea was served in bed by our charming waiter Daniel. The food always included several courses and was always delicious. Our cook Mayoo was a true kitchen-wizard. We still sometimes dream of the banana fritters. Most of us even slept well despite the altitude and the cold. Of course we couldn’t have done that without our marvellous tent master. The last luxury we allowed us was the private toilet that our toilet master Eliya kept spick and span. Many thanks to the rest of the crew for keeping us comfortable and creating “a home away from home”. During the walking hours, our second guide Aristides set the perfect pace and entertained “little simba” while our third guide Dawid patiently cared for any stragglers. We learned so much about the mountain and the wonderful country of Tanzania. Thank you Kilihero-Family for this amazing trip! Perhaps we’ll come again in 25 years.
