This is also a nice place to visit while in kilimanjaro Tanzania , it a 5 hours tour but with a lot of activities. Intergrate with the locals and gain more about African culture
I was very happy to visit Materuni waterfall and to have some amazed photo shoot with village strangers, my driver was knowledgeable and friendly.
Thank you very much for taking care of us with amazing hospitality, we would recommend other people to book with Burigi Chato Safaris for incredible experience
I did the Rongai route during th Covid19 pandemic, it was a really good experience, my tour compagny had everything under control. There was not too many other climbers during my climb, but i have heard that the Rongai route is one of the least trafficked routes on Kilimanjaro. The Rongai route is easy to climb and very scenic, especially i loved the many waterfalls we saw during the descent, the last day in the rainforest. A lot of places there was newly build resting areas and fine public toilets. I choose to do the climb in 7 days, a choise i'm really glad i took, because of the amount of time i had to recover every day, as we arrived early to the next camp. In 2019 i got altitude sickness on another route, but this time i had no signs at all, an I even made it to the top, on my birthday.
