8-Day Small-group Lemosho Kilimanjaro Summit Trekking

Tom & Carmel (Mama) After completing the 8 day Lemosho route & all our group making summit we would like to thank each & everyone involved in getting us to the ‘Roof of Africa’. To our main guide Emmenuael and assistants Eric & Innocent who were all friendly, very knowledgeable, well organised & supportive with nightly updates on schedule & health checks with our movements also studied throughout the day to see how we were feeling, issues, problems and then always setting the pace to suit the group, all in preparation for the massive effort needed for summit night. Our group size of 6 was great, who each in their own way helping us make summit & thank you to them. The private toilet is definitely needed on the mountain and always ready for use in camp, the porters & full crew's speed in camp set-ups & moving to next camp is astonishing to witness in this tough environment but the food quality & delivery from Top Cook Coleman was unbelievable including all the unreal soups throughout our trek. Great operation with the highest success rate due to knowledge of the Mountain, team work rate & massive advantage of higher Kosovo Base camp saving about an hour to summit. The trip cost seemed average before hand but after seems very reasonable to what support & service is given on the mountain & before by Tiffany, Summit Lodge hotel and the airport collection & drop off. Finally to the Crew & main singers Coleman & Innocent for their encouraging songs that put us in good spirits & will live long in our memories. Again Thank You

We were a group of 9, celebrating a 40th birthday. Our ages ranged from 14 to 70. We had a 100% summit success rate! It was all because of Herment, Dismis, Florian,Freddy and numerous other support staff among them Cornell and Jastin. The food was A+. From the pre hike pump up songs, to the ginger tea after supper in the tent warmed by candles, it was a five star experience. I felt so lucky to be taken care of by Herment and his team. Thank you to Climbkili for supporting their staff and enabling them to provide an experience of a lifetime.

Our guide Herment, our team and the way they planned, organized and managed the whole trip was nothing less than amazing. We all made it to the summit without any problems (age 20-72 in our group) and we only did this because of the planning and the amazing team. The way the route was planned, the pace Herment set everyday, the way he read us as a group and individuals, and the efficiency and professionalism of the whole team made our dream come true. The food, the setup and the caring from the whole team was nothing close to anything I have experienced before - they all spottet out every need and desire and did all they could to help us. Small things that I noticed and that made a difference to me, beside from ALL the above mentioned, was the fact that our guides picked up trash (left from other groups) every time we stopped and the way they were concerned AND helped porters from other groups (medically) - it just added to my opinion on Climbkili as a professional, caring (both human and environmentally) and dedicated company that I would truly and highly recommend for any Kilimanjaro trek or trip. A final note was on the level of information prior to the trip was really amazing and the time from question to answer made us feel so safe and in good hands. Our highest recommendations to Climbkili in every way and especially to our Guide Herment, who made the success possible.

Great operation. Very well organized with the highest success rate on the mountain. Having the higher camp for summit night is a huge advantage over the competition. The small group size also enhances the overall experience. The guides have personally gone to the summit scores and in some cases hundreds of times. They do a great job of monitoring the clients’ health and know how to make sure that their clients summit! Herments (my lead guide) was terrific. The price was about average but because of the overall high quality of the trip, Climb Kili is the best value on Kilimanjaro.

Climb Kili was truly the best company to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro with, I couldn't have imagined a better experience! The guides (Emmanuel, Innocent, and Ericks) were absolutely amazing and so uplifting during the most challenging parts of the trek. They made sure we were taken care of and went the extra mile if one of us was struggling by offering to carry our bags, etc. The porters were so energetic and sung us traditional songs to lift the morale of the group. The food was wonderful and catered to my vegan dietary needs. The private toilets were a game changer and much more hygienic than the public ones other groups were using. We did health checks every night and the guides were so knowledgeable about altitude sickness. The whole team felt like a big family. I felt safe the entire time and our entire group made it to Uhuru Peak of all different ages! If you're unsure about a company to use, Climb Kili is your best bet!!!

Truly an incredible journey. We summited as the sun came up on June 6, 2026 in celebration of our daughters 40th birthday, and yes, we did sing Happy Birthday to her at the top of the mountain! With nine in our group, we were supported by a small village of amazing competent mountain men. Lead Guide, Herment, Assistant Guides Dismas, Florian and Freddy trekked with us, always cheerful, energetic and encouraging. These men's knowledge of the mountain, ability to set the pace and willingness to lend a hand when needed ensured the whole group would reach the summit. Especially myself, at 70 years young, I really appreciated the extra assistance and that Herment carried my daypack from day 3 on. Shangazi says Asante Sana! From the morning coffee delivered to our tents, the incredibly fresh and tasty meals, the uplifting songs and dance to start our day, the camaraderie on the trail to the nightly wellness checks and information provided for the next days trek, always felt comfortable and very well cared for. The entire mountain support crew were excellent and made sure our needs were taken care of. I can not say enough about the service provided and the cheerful manner in which it was delivered. A huge thank you to Herment, his team and Climb Kili for providing an unforgettable experience! I would encourage anyone considering the challenge of Kilimanjaro to go with Climb Kili. The do not disappoint.

Wowzers where do I start?! The team at ClimbKili, from the contacts to the guides were unreal! Response times on emails were always fast and thorough when providing info, my questions were always answered, and I had a lot! Huge shout out to Nicas Korongus (sorry if I didn't spell your name right) who literally sewed another peice of shoe onto the heel of my hiking boot when it started to fall apart!! It got worse by the hour, I would not have been able to continue in these boots without his repair job. Amazing! He is the porter's cook and apparently a cobbler as well! Very special thanks to our guides Freddy, Florian, Dismis and Herment who made our trip an absolute blast! They were friendly and engaging. They made our safety and success the top priority. They were knowledgable and fun, and very attentive!

We had an amazing experience climbing with Climb Kili! It was smooth sailing from day 1, and they were easy to communicate with. We also did the 4-day safari with them, which was really seamless 🤩 Also, you’re really lucky if you get Herment as your main guide - we loved his energy! Regarding the safari - we felt 90% of the fun was in Serengeti, and the rest was driving back to Arusha. If we were to do it again, we might just do 2 days in Serengeti with flight both ways 🤷‍♀️ Also - the hotel (Summit Lodge) is okay, but nothing very nice. I would not recommend booking many extra nights there to relax. We weren’t comfortable walking around in the area, so you’re very confined to the hotel itself as well.

I spent the last 2 weeks in Tanzania where I completed the 8 day Lemosho Trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro and a 2 day safari (Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater) with Climb Kili. Every aspect of the trip exceeded my expectations! Prior to the trip, the company was incredibly responsive to any questions, communicated details promptly, and made sure that everything was ready logistically for when I arrived. In terms of the trek, I could not have asked for a better group. I did this trip solo and ended up climbing with 3 other people which was the perfect size to ensure our best chances of summit success. Our lead guide, Amani, and assistant guide Isaiah were incredible! While hiking, they were always looking out for our best interest, giving us conveniently timed breaks, answering any questions we had about the mountain, providing support, and guiding us to our next destination. While at our camps, they informed us with everything we needed to know about our next day of hiking, the kinds of clothes we should wear and bring in our day pack, etc. All 4 of us in our group ended up summiting which was one of the best moments of my life! Aside from our guides, all of the staff was incredible as this trip would not be possible without them. Food was overall pretty great which I definitely did not expect prior to the trip, our spot at camp was always ready by the time we arrived, and you could see their dedication to making sure we had the best experience possible. I wouldn't change anything about the trekking experience, everyone did an amazing job! Aside from the hike, the safari was also a great way to wrap up the trip in a more relaxing setting. We got the chance to see a ton of animals in the different locations and the hotel (Farm of Dreams Lodge) was beautiful! Personally, I thought that the 2 days was enough for the safari after hiking for 8 days but totally understand why people love to do the longer ones! Overall, I would highly recommend Climb Kili to any person planning a trip to Kilimanjaro or Tanzania in general. For the price you are paying, you really get the whole package and every dollar I spent was absolutely worth it. On the mountain, you get great camp locations, 3 meals a day, a toilet tent, great staff, and everything you need to maximize chances of success. Additionally, while there is a pretty set itinerary, you can definitely find time to venture on your own as I had 2 days in Arusha where I could explore the town with people that I met on the trip! If there would be one thing I would change, I would just recommend that people bring less snacks than they think they might need as I barely went through the stuff I brought to the mountain and donated most of it to the porters. Also, if it isn't included on the packing list (which was SUPER helpful), I would bring a solar light for your tent so you don't need to use a headlamp or flashlight when you're relaxing at the end of the day (I read hardcopy books each night before going to sleep so this would've been a good thing to pack). This was the trip of a lifetime for me so I'm super grateful for everyone at Climb Kili that made this possible, definitely book with them!

I can’t say enough about the Kili experience with ClimbKili, but in a few words, it was life changing. Communication with Tiffany on the front-end was seamless. All the information for packing, itineraries, visas, etc. was all perfectly communicated, and I knew what to expect upon arrival. Then the actual climb itself was nothing short of amazing. Our head guide Emanuel + his awesome team of assistant guides, chef, waiter, porters, etc. truly made the week. The entire group made it to Uhuru, and we could not have summited without them. They really are the backbone of the mountain. ClimbKili is the company to go with for Kilimanjaro experiences for so many reasons. They made hiking up the mountain for 8 days that much easier, and the special permit for Kosovo over Barafu Camp on summit night made a huge difference. I hope to come back and use them again one day with family or friends.
