Happy summit ascent in very good care

I was very well looked after by KLM Safaris away from the airport. Start and end, briefing and material rental took place in a very professionally managed hotel. With my two fellow hikers, I was supervised by two very experienced guides, who supported us intensively, especially during the last stage to the summit. We had chosen the Lemosho route for the better acclimatization and for our group this proved successful: we reached all three at sunrise to Stella Point and then continued to the actual summit. There are many hikers in the camps, but the atmosphere on the way was consistently very pleasant in the own group and team as well as in the encounters with others. The food is incredibly good on the way, you are freshly cooked daily and the porters carry a lot of fresh food up the mountain.

Congratulations and thank you for the five Star review. We appreciate your appreciation from the airport, hotel, guides, food and the whole trekking experience with KLM Safaris. Happy that you arrived on time at Stella point and arrive at Uhuru after sunrise. Thank you and welcome again Tanzania.

Fantastic personalised safari trip

Gileard was a great help in planning this trip from the UK to Tanzania and ensuring that everywhere we wanted to go was included. He was an excellent communicator and replied quickly to every question. Everything went smoothly for the whole trip as it was so well organised. For most of the trip we had the same driver/guide, called Elle. He was a great driver, which is almost the most important aspect of a tour like this on African roads. He was also knowledgable, patient and a great person to spend the time with. He was flexible with any changes that we wanted to make as we went along. We visited many national parks on our ten day safari. Of note were ; Tarangire National Park - Lots of elephants in this park. You have to be aware of tsetse flies. Ngorongoro Crater- This was outstanding. So many animals to see in a contained area. The crater itself is worth seeing. We stayed at the Rhino Lodge, which is highly reccomended. It gets cold in that area at night, and they even came around to light the fires in the lodges, which was extremely cosy. Serengeti National Park- You have to bear in mind that the Serengeti is vast, the size of a small country itself. As it is a plain, you have to be prepared to travel quite a few kilometers to see the animals. It is definitely worth doing though. We saw so many lions, completely close up too. We stayed at the Mawe tented camp. It was very comfortable and the staff were outstanding. Arusha National Park- this was very different as it is a walking tour, whereas most other parks you cannot get out of your vehicle. We saw giraffe and buffalo very close up. Lots of flamingo too. Onsea Guest House - this is highly reccomended as a restaurant for dinner. The food was outstanding, especially their signature menu, which is a taster menu consisting of many courses. The owner is a Belgian chef called Axel. Really friendly and we had a great evening, sitting outside with the magnificent view from their terrace. We would highly reccomend KLM Safaris as they went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable trip of a lifetime.
