The Westerkerk was built between 1620 and 1631 in Renaissance style according to designs by architect Hendrick de Keyser (1565-1621). He is buried in the church he designed earlier: the 'Zuiderkerk'. The building of the Westerkerk was finished and completed by his son Pieter de Keyser (1595-1676) and inaugurated on June 8, 1631. The church has a length of 58 meters and a width of 29 meters. The high nave is flanked by the two lower aisles. The three-aisled basilica has a rectangular plan with two transepts of equal dimensions. As a result, the plan for this church was given the form of two Greek crosses connected with each other.

Amsterdam Centraal was designed by Pierre Cuypers, who is also known for his design of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. While Cuypers was the principal architect, it is believed that he focused mostly on the decoration of the station building and left the structural design to railway engineers

- The first dock is located at Stadhouderskade 501 opposite the Hard Rock Cafe. Take tram 1, 2, 5,11 and 12 stop at Leidseplein. from there the dock is a 2 minute walk.
- The second dock is located at Stadhouderskade 550, opposite Heineken Experience. Take tram 2, 5,and 12 stop at Rijksmuseum. from there the dock is a 5 minute walk or take metro No. 52 and stop at Vijzelgracht. From there the dock is only a 2 minute walk.
- Last City Canal Cruise from Hard Rock Cafe departs at 18:00.
- Last City Canal Cruise from Heineken Experience departs at 17:15.
- You can cancel your ticket until 24 hours prior to departure. Cancellation within 24 hours is not possible.

Fantastic Wheelchair accessible canal cruise.
Unfortunately this was not a good experience for our family. The kids’ audio tour didn’t function properly, which was frustrating for them. The audio portion of the adult tour was mistimed with the cruise so we never knew what we were looking at. The live portion of the tour was lackluster and not informative - eg telling us the name of a building with no further context. I do not recommend this tour, especially if you’re with kids.
Fantastic! We definitely recommend this boat tour through beautiful Amsterdam, which lasted more than 75 minutes. Very informative via audio with additions from the captain. Employees very friendly, cashiers very helpful and attentive! 1 of the better tour boats in Amsterdam (certainly in terms of price/quality ratio) There are two central boarding points. Thank you Blue for this wonderful experience and we would love to come back again
The commentary was sparse and audio did not work on all channels. Would have been nice to know which canal we were on, so could follow on map. Windows were too small to get photo without window frame. Would not repeat trip.
This was just an OK canal cruise to me. Like many museums, it was an audio guide, but no food and drinks for 22 EUR. After walking around more, there were canal cruises for 14 EUR or ones for about the same price including open Bar.
Amsterdam seen from below, from the water is very beautiful. However, the organization of this tour was really bad. Very uncomfortable chairs and then the guide registered in 75 minutes will have talked for 3 minutes maximum. Shameful
To conclude our group's visit to Amsterdam, we opted for a cruise with Blue Boat Company. However, due to our mistake we were late for our appointment (we had underestimated the crowds in Amsterdam). Together we looked for a solution and it was nothing short of fantastic. We enjoyed a beautiful cruise with excellent commentary from the driver to end our visit. Thank you!
