This was a fun time. Suzuki & Aki were wonderful hosts. They were truly passionate, knowledgeable & friendly hosts. I highly recommend this experience. 5 stars.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed the experience. Suzuki and Aki will also be very happy to hear your kind words.
The location (basement of an office building, cross from Tokyo Tower) may seem odd. Once there the hostess is gracious, informative, and provides an excellent overview of sake (history, methods, etc). Great intro to u pique Japanese flavors.
This was a fabulous experience. The presentation was extremely informative. We learned a lot about saki and Japan in general. The food was extremely tasty. It was not simply a snack but actually enough for supper. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind recommendation—we’re delighted you enjoyed the experience!
We really enjoyed our sake tasting with small bites. We learned about the production process of sake. The food was delicious, and it was nice to have the pairings explained to us. We would highly recommend this experience as a nice start to your Japan adventures by learning about your sake preferences. Both hosts were very kind and welcoming, and happily explained the brewing process, described each sake we tried, and answered every question we had. Every sake was unique and enjoyable, but the biggest (and most pleasant!) surprise was the aged sake that we tried both on its own and also over homemade vanilla ice cream. Talk about delicious!
This class was PHENOMENAL!!! It was just my friend and I and Micki was our Sake-master. She was soooo fantastic. She shared her knowledge and wisdom and matched amazing foods with each sake we tasted. Included in the food was an amazing duck breast, that was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Micki was efficient and lovely, we truly enjoyed her class.
This sake tasting is definitely a must for sake lovers!! The staff were absolutely exceptional and incredibly friendly during the entire tasting. They all went into so much detail about the sake and answering all of our questions. By the end of the tasting it felt like we were just hanging out with friends. 10/10 recommend this tasting for a unique experience in Tokyo.
Discovery of how sake pairs with food, the teachers were a wealth of experience and they created a very homely vibe as if I were taught by my own grand parents! (Or parents) the teachers even cooked on the spot for the pairing of the sake. Good class really enjoyed
I really nice and personal experience! The various sake was excellent and the food pairing amazing! Thank you guys
Hi, Sara! We're glad that you enjoyed the sake tasting experience! thank you!
We enjoy sake but had limited understanding and knowledge so we booked this tour and it was both educational and entertaining. The hosts do a great job of keeping you engaged and teaching you the process of making sake, where it comes from, and what to pair the with different kinds. We have done similar experiences with tequila in Mexico and wine in Napa and this is on par with all of them. If you have a basic understating of sake and enjoy it then take this your, you will be happy you did.
Thank you for the review, Joe! Our guides were happy to serve you!
We had so much fun! My fiancé and I wanted to make our first sake experience a good one, so I booked this for us. The three of them were so sweet and both the sake and food were delicious. I learned quite a bit on the makings and quality of sake, and feel better about knowing what I like and don’t like. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!
Thanks for such a lovely review! We're so glad you had such a great time with us! Looking forward to see you again!
