A family-owned Greek pottery workshop is a quaint atelier, often passed down through generations, where traditional Greek pottery is handcrafted. The artisans, inheriting time-honored techniques, meticulously shape local clay into a variety of vessels such as vases, urns, and amphorae. Each piece, ranging from utilitarian to decorative, is adorned with motifs and patterns that reflect ancient Greek artistry, mythology, and daily life. The workshop is a vibrant hub of creativity and culture where the familial warmth and dedication to craft ensure that each creation is not just a product but a piece of heritage.

120 min

Lindos is a picturesque village located on the eastern coast of the island of Rhodes in Greece. It is renowned for its serene beaches, crystal-clear waters, and the magnificent Acropolis perched atop a hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. This ancient citadel features the ruins of temples, a theater, and other structures dating back to the 4th century BC, bearing witness to the region’s rich historical legacy. The village itself is a charming maze of narrow, winding streets lined with traditional whitewashed houses, hidden courtyards, and lively local shops—reflecting a beautiful blend of classical Greek heritage and medieval influences. For those who wish to climb the approximately 300 steps to the Acropolis (optional visit), our guide will accompany you and share fascinating insights along the way. Guests who prefer to skip the climb can enjoy extra free time exploring the village at their own pace.

90 min

Rhodes Old Town, nestled within imposing medieval walls, is a mosaic of ancient, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Italian influences, reflecting its diverse history as a pivotal hub in the Aegean. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe, boasting cobbled streets, charming alleys, and a wealth of historic sites. Key highlights include the Palace of the Grand Master, Street of the Knights, and numerous mosques and Gothic churches. Its mix of architecture and cultures makes the Old Town a living museum, with a vibrant bazaar-like atmosphere where history feels palpably alive.

Traveling with no descriptions and sites until we got there

It was extremely long the guide spoke way too fast. She did a lot of talking to the driver while people were bored or trying to sleep. I felt very dissatisfied with this tour and felt uncomfortable for all of us when she mentioned at the end that it was her birthday and bought herself a cake. I felt like it was a tip grab and very tacky

Operator response

We regret to hear about your disappointment. The tour duration was delivered exactly as advertised. Please do not speak on behalf of other participants unless you officially represent them. Please note that your feedback is the only negative feedback received from the entire group. We are not sure about the traditions in your country, but here in Greece we do use cakes for birthdays. 😊 Regarding tipping, it is always optional and never mandatory in Europe. However, many guests choose to show their appreciation when they enjoy the service. It is interesting that such a simple thing seemed “tacky” to you. As the saying goes: “If the shoe fits, wear it.” 😊 Safe travels

Timing and stops are just...

Timing and stops are just right for cruise passengers. Pick-up is convenient right off of the ship at the port. Large bus was about 80% at capacity and tour guide provided history, culture, and personal anecdotes through the bus ride to Lindos. Time there was enough to explore the winding streets with an option to hike up the steps to the Acropolis instead. Stopped at olive oil/honey/ceramics place which was OK. Would've liked some more insight/demos for that stop. It was mostly a touristy gimmicky place to buy their products, although the backdrop and site was picturesque. Ended the tour in Rhodes medieval part of the town which was the best part with the fortress and unique architecture. 9/10 would recommend this if you're on a cruise and there for just 8-10 hours. Timely return to the ship.

Rhodes is gorgeous

Rhodes is phenomenally beautiful ! Our guide was patient, knowledgeable, funny. The way she made sure we saw every detail was appreciated. The only thing was the stop at the pottery store, not worth and clearly a turist trap. It was unnecessary; one of those things where they get a portion of what you buy.

The Perfect Introduction to Rhodes

The tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Joanna, was very informative and had a wonderful sense of humor. She shared the history of Rhodes in a very engaging way that made us laugh, smile, and learn. She also shared a bit about herself, which made the experience feel more personal. I really enjoyed all of the stops on the tour. When we had free time, my group decided to skip the Acropolis and head to the beach for a swim. Others visited the Acropolis, shopped around, or grabbed something to eat. There was truly something for everyone to enjoy. One thing I really appreciated was that we had the same bus for the entire day. That meant you could leave your belongings on the bus or even stay on it during a stop if you preferred. It made the day feel much more convenient and relaxed. We did spend a little less time at each stop than what was originally advertised. I would have loved to have the full amount of time at the beach, but given that this was only a seven-hour tour, we still had enough time to enjoy it. The schedule was well managed, and we never felt rushed. Rhodes is absolutely beautiful. I took so many pictures that I will cherish for years to come. Best of all, the tour returned us to the cruise port with plenty of time to spare, allowing us to enjoy a little more of the scenery around the port before heading back to the ship. This tour was a fantastic way to experience Rhodes, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

My Review

This tour gave a solid overview of the island. The explanations helped connect the places instead of just looking at stones. Instructions were simple, meeting points were obvious, and timing was respected.
