Superb visits across the island. A little message one day before your arrival to wish you welcome... At the airport, Chamil awaits us with his big smile. Chamil will be our French-speaking guide. What can I say: top-notch! The organized tour of the various visits by the team is great for understanding the history of the country. The selected hotels are all magnificent with a very warm welcome. Everything builds up: the temples, the history, the places: all more beautiful than the others! The agency adapts to your wishes regarding visits/hikes. They all want us to make the most of this stay... and they succeeded. A big thank you to all of you. We couldn't have done better with Asiri. The tour was great in general and we were able to adapt it flexibly at any time according to our wishes. Our personal highlight was the Diyaluma Falls. Asiri was always on time, reliable, professional and very friendly. We felt safe at all times and greatly appreciated his calm, pleasant driving. We were particularly impressed by how attentive and helpful he was: With every problem he helped immediately, gave good tips and read our wishes almost from the eyes. His great knowledge of Sri Lankan culture and history also wonderfully enriched our excursions, for example to Lion Rock. The car was spotlessly clean every morning. Asiri was patient, warm and just a great companion. We can heartily recommend him.

Very good agency, but the restaurants chosen in a few places are really very low-end. However, the hotels are good, two to two and a half stars. The guide Amzil is really VERY good, he knows his story very well and his explanations are very interesting and complete.

After a short time we realized that this tour of Sri Lanka would be something very special. We spent a week together and felt in good hands from the start. Everything was perfectly organized – relaxed, smooth and without any compromises. We had a personal guide, Neil de Silva, who spoke very good German, as well as our own driver (upgrade received). Both made the trip extremely enjoyable. Neil took great care to show us the authentic Sri Lanka – often far from the crowds of tourists. It was precisely these moments that made the trip so unique for us. A special highlight was that we were able to witness two Buddhist holidays and experience the faith and culture first hand. These experiences were deeply impressive and brought us closer to Sri Lanka in a very personal way. The programme was extremely varied: Safaris, temples, Ayurveda garden & massage, tea plantations, food culture, turtle farm, cities and nature – everything was there and very well coordinated. We found the flexibility particularly positive: Neil has always responded to our wishes and has adapted the program accordingly. We did a round trip through Sri Lanka with the agency Detroves Travels and our private guide Manjula, who accompanied us every day. It was an amazing experience and a perfect way to see and truly get to know the culture of Sri Lanka. Everything was extremely well organized – we didn’t have to worry about anything at all. You really couldn’t ask for a better guide than Manjula. He explained everything very clearly, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable. No matter what we wanted, he did everything he could to make it happen. He always made sure we had enough water, stopped spontaneously at the roadside to let us try local fruits, and explained how they are prepared. We did everything from our planned tour, but he also took us to spontaneous places and showed us things that were very interesting and not necessarily on the schedule. We are very grateful that we had Manjula as our guide and would recommend him and Detroves Travels to anyone without hesitation.
