7-Day Midrange Tanzania Safari Adventures (Big 5)

I love our safari! We had a great experience from our guide Justin to the hotels that we stayed at and the animals we saw. I think that it was very reaonably priced. We stayed in great luxury hotels, some were brand new. Everyone was very hospitable and kind. Our trip was around 2 weeks and we had a great time the whole time. Justin did a great job making sure we saw all the animals we wanted to see and they we were comfortable and happy the entire trip.

We just got home from our 7 day Tanzania safari with Kilimanjaro Trek Adventure Safari. I have been dreaming of this trip for 30+ years and we knew that picking the right safari company would be the defining element in making sure the trip met my expectations. Kilimanjaro Trek Adventure Safari brought us the trip of my dreams. Our guide Raphael was fun, friendly, informative, genuine. He felt like family and we would without a doubt request for him to be our guide next time we do a safari. Raphael was an active and natural guide with a genuine sparkle of passion for the wildlife and culture. First day we included the Napuru waterfall hike which was beautiful and we learned a lot about the local people on the drive. The boss invited us to his home for a delicious home cook meal and chat about what to expect on safari. All accomodation was exceptional, beyond comfortable, exquisitely beautiful and charmingly friendly. The website lists the accommodations as “mid range” but I disagree with that because all accommodations were first class. Kilimanjaro Trek provides a hot lunch everyday (whereas most safaris are just offering a cheese sandwich and a piece of fruit!) All meals were tasty and enjoyable. Raphael found us the Big 5 and made every moment of looking for the wildlife an adventure. Even the drives between parks were interesting and comfortable. I will never forget the feeling of standing up in the safari vehicle, fresh air in my face, hearing Raphael tell us that there were lions up ahead as we drove past giraffes, zebra and elephants. We also did the balloon safari (unmissable experience) and walking safari (gets you close to the land and nature). If you are going to book a safari do it with Kilimanjaro Trek Adventure Safari and with guide Raphael. Your safari will be first class.

There are many African Safari tour operators, but we cannot imagine a better one than Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club. Mary was fantastic in planning the trip and answering all of our questions from adding another day and a great location to helping us with our visa application applications in Hotel pick up. Our tour guide was Justin. He was perfect. He had a wealth of knowledge and contacts and work ethic to make our trip fantastic. Justin would radio and face-to-face talk other guides and always seem to know where the animals would be in the best time to get their pictures we saw every animal we looking for including some we did not expect such as the migration of the wild beast and zebras and the Serengeti. Justin would often go out of his way, bypassing will be our next lodging at the end of the day to go show us a cheetah leopard that he heard would be beyond making his day even longer driving around. He truly did everything he could to make our trip memorable. The owner of the company, Marco, met us at our hotel upon our arrival and invited our whole family to his private residence for a meal our final evening in Tanzania this is a first class travel company. I have already recommended a number of friends this company because I don’t think one can go wrong and trust in them in your once in a lifetime experience..

We just got back from a 7 day private safari tour with Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club and it was amazing. From the beginning planning stages Prince was quick to respond and when we made changes (there were a lot) he pivoted quickly with kindness and great advice. Justin, our guide, was fantastic. Educated us, answered every question we had, worked hard to make sure we saw everything we could, including finding cheetahs and black rhinos. He always made sure we were happy. The trip ended with Aenea the owner and his family welcoming us in their home for a meal. They treat you like family and we left feeling like it. It was a trip we will always remember

I had an exceptional experience with Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club from start to finish! This was an 8-day private safari through Tanzania (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara), and every part of the trip felt thoughtfully planned and seamlessly executed. Communication leading up to the trip was clear, responsive, and professional, which made the entire booking process feel easy and well-supported. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the quality of the guide. I can confidently say this was the best guide I’ve had - and I say that after continuing on to Kenya and experiencing other safaris, the difference was significant. My guide was incredibly knowledgeable, deeply familiar with the terrain and road conditions, and genuinely passionate about what he does. That combination made a huge impact on the overall experience - from wildlife spotting to navigating more remote areas without issue. The itinerary itself was beautifully balanced. Choosing a tented camp in the Serengeti was one of the highlights, it felt immersive, quiet, and far more connected to the environment than a traditional lodge experience. The Escarpment Luxury Lodge was also a standout, absolutely worth the upgrade for the views and location inside the park. Game drives were consistently strong, with incredible wildlife sightings across all parks. The Serengeti, in particular, was unmatched, truly one of the most extraordinary places I’ve ever experienced. I traveled solo and felt completely safe the entire time, which I think is worth noting. Having a private guide and a well-organized team made a huge difference in that. Overall, I would highly recommend Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club to anyone looking for a well-run, high-quality safari experience in Tanzania. The level of care, expertise, and execution made this trip something I’ll remember for a long time.

Loved our couples safari trip with Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club! Our guides, Elly and Dennis, were so knowledgable and capable. They didn't shy away from our million questions! They loved sharing their beautiful country and amazing wildlife. Tanzania is a beautiful place. and the people are so welcoming. The company made our trip comfortable, allowing us to focus on enjoying the trip instead of managing the trip. Would whole-heartedly recommend this experience!

Where to start? We just wrapped up our 8 day itinerary (6 days of Safari) and could not be happier to have chosen Kilimanjaro Adventure Safari Club as our tour operator. From the beginning, booking with Mariam was extremely easy - she was patient with us, explained the pros and cons of visiting different sites during our preferred dates and helped us craft a custom itinerary that worked for our needs and our budget. She was always available despite any time difference. Communication was very clear throughout and payment/booking was seamless through their online portal (Pesapal) since we didn’t want to travel with cash. When we arrived, we were picked up by Safari and taken to our hotel to meet Aenea, the owner of the company who briefed us on the trip and went the extra mile to invite us to his home for dinner the night before the safari. He and his team are very humble and focused on delivering a top notch experience for travellers. They truly care about you and making sure you get your dream experience in their country. Throughout the trip, our guide Justin was absolutely fantastic and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see (and more). He was very patient with us during sightings, always getting us an A+ view (trust me, it’s harder than you think) and making sure we had as much time as we want to observe, take pictures and explain everything we need to know about the animals. His knowledge about the area was incredible - whether we had questions about the environment, animals, birds, plants, culture, you name it. Justin was excited to help us understand and always made sure we were comfortable throughout. He really treated us as part of the family. Justin - mission accomplished! The jeep itself was very spacious, pretty typical compared to the others we saw on the trip. The landscape is very rugged and the cars get beat up, but KASC maintains their fleet well and we had no issues. They ensured we had plenty of water, wipes, Kleenex etc on board. Food will be dependent on the properties you choose but your guide will help arrange lunch and logistics daily. Each property they recommend for you has been personally vetted by the team and we thoroughly enjoyed all of our stops (we booked the “Luxury” level for reference). Overall, I couldn’t recommend them enough as your operator and we hope to go back soon to visit again!
