7-Day Great Migration Safari

I highly recommend EastCo. We had an amazing safari in Tanzania. Our guide, Wilson, was absolutely excellent -- he was organized, professional, a safe driver, highly knowledgeable, and kind. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

I found EastCo an excellent company to travel on Safari in Tanzania from beginning to end. Charles helped me to tailor make a 7-day honeymoon safari with my partner that included things that we liked at a price point that we were happy with. Communication was excellent from beginning to end and the experience surpassed our expectations. Wilson, our guide for the safari, was a treasure trove of knowledge, utterly professional, understanding of our needs and a lovely personality. He was also an excellent driver which is important when driving offroad for 5 days! He was eagle eyed and his knowledge of animals and particularly birds was an education for us! The places we stayed over the 6 nights were all excellent. As it was our honeymoon, EastCo had organised a few surprises along the way which were much appreciated. Finally, our airline lost our bags when we arrived into Arusha and it took 3 days for them to get to us. EastCo took everything on board and organised that the bags were shuttled out to us while we were on safari, not disrupting the trip at all! Would definitely recommend EastCo to anyone - the level of detail and care in planning, communication and the people involved as well as what I found was a very competitive price are all great reasons to book with them.

We start our search to have a family safari trip beginning of March 2025 for our trip in the first week of September... There are a lot of companies who offer these trip. We get in contact with Charles from EASTCO. We make clear what we like, and we ask him what could be the best Itinerary for our trip. After we had always quick feedback it give us a good feeling. At a certain point everything was settled, before the first payment we had contact by phone, and everything feels well, so we pay the deposit. We get directly feedback that the payment was received and we got a new statement, this is what we go with all payments. Also closer to the tour we got more information about we can expect more, information from the driver etc. And then the tour starts on 1 September. We had as driver MR Wilson, who is a very kind person, speak clearly Englisch and he has a big knowledge of the country, culture and the nature/animals We expected a lot... but we became much more. We had a great time with him. Also we had the possibility to change time schedule etc. There is just 1 word, and that's perfection, that’s for the hole EASTCO company and workers.

We used Eastco for our trip to Tanzania in June 2025. David and Charles were easy to communicate with and we were able to get on a call with them if we had any questions. Our guide Wilson was amazing. He was very flexible, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We were able to see so many animals. Wilson was great at spotting animals from a distance, had lots of fun facts about the animals we saw and we enjoyed our time with him in the car. Our accommodations were incredible and we are very happy we chose Eastco.

Overall From start to finish it was so easy to work with Charles and his team and, thanks to our excellent guide Wilson, we saw and experienced so much more than we ever could have imagined. Preparation Charles worked with us to go through options and create something that suited our timeline and preferences. Their packing list was super helpful too. Lodging Lodging was delightful. We stayed in five properties, run by two different operators (Lemala and Serena), and each one was unique. Staff throughout were helpful and friendly, though the Lemala properties seemed a bit friendlier and personal. Rooms were lovely, and the tented camps were an experience on their own, so comfortable. Food Food was fantastic and plentiful, even the lunches which the lodgings provided each day "to go". We had no issues whatever, both bottled and filtered water were readily available. Transport it was just the two of us in a Landcruiser, with Wilson our expert guide and driver. The vehicle was great, with the pop-top roof, and more than a match for the roads. Animals It was amazing how close you could get to the animals, even though we never left the trails. Wilson was great at describing them, some of their key features, and he was super-knowledgeable on birds. The vehicle also has guide books on board if you want to learn more, or confirm what it looks like Support Before the trip and during it, support was wonderful. Charles proposed for us to fly out of Seronera airstrip and we're so glad we did, it just added to the whole experience. And throughout, Wilson was on top of the logistics, proposing an itinerary day by day based on what we'd seen before or might want to see again. And he was always willing to pull over, or adjust the vehicle's position to, for example, allow us to see a different view or perspective. Or just wait and watch the animals do their thing.

Everything was perfect the hotels were the perfect mix between adventure and comfort. Being difficult on food I always ate well. What about our incredible Fidelis guide for Francophones, a perfect knowledge of parks and animals we were always placed in the right place for the best photos. As soon as he heard that we would like to see such animal and he bent in 4 to find us we could thanks to his tenacity and his good advice see cheetahs and leopards very closely. Thanks again to Fidelis for his good humor and his incredible work.

Boniface’s guides were super knowledgeable, and could spot game with amazing acuity. Grandchildren loved them. We not only saw “The Big Five”, thanks to our Out outstanding guide Mathieu, we were the only group to witness a close up of two males lions take down a mature buffalo within 50 feet of our vehicle. Have the video. The next day we returned to the same site and the lion pride was at least 36 plus. Again right next to the vehicle. These two events are super rare to witness. The Ballon ride was Amazing. The Thor Tree tent accommodations are great and the location was absolutely wonderful experience . Fadhili has the most amazing ability to spot game and incredible distances with the naked eye. He spotted 4 rhinos in the Noronagoro Crater that most of the other tour operators missed. To day we were spoiled is an understatement.

We booked our safari through East African Safari, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was well-organized, and the communication was excellent. Our guide Emmanuel was very knowledgeable, pointing out animals and sharing interesting facts about the parks. The itinerary was perfect—we visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, and saw an incredible variety of wildlife. The accommodations they chose were fantastic, and they made sure every detail was taken care of. We had an unforgettable time and would definitely book with them again!

We had an amazing experience on our first safari. Our tour guide Wilson was absolutely amazing!! He really taught us a lot about the animals. We even were able to see the Big 5!!!! He made this experience fun and we had a blast!! Eastco was a fabulous company and would recommend them to everyone who visits Africa for a wonderful safari experience!!!

First time in Africa but hopefully the first of many. The trip was a stills photographic experience, expertly put together by David, allowing my friend John and I to take in all the places we wanted to see, the highlight being the crossing of the Mara river by wildebeests and zebras with many attacks on the unfortunate animals being witnessed and photographed. Our trip started by being met at Kilimanjaro Airport by Bernard, our driver who was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole trip and we soon became firm friends. We travelled through Arusha, staying the first night at Lake Manyara Lodge, then the next day at Seronera Lodge for one night followed by a three night stay at Lobo Lodge from where we drove to see the wildebeest crossing. On the first day we saw lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, exotically coloured birds and many more animals. On later days we saw hippos, cheetahs, monkeys and many types of antelopes. Bernard was expert in driving over uneven dirt roads while managing to spot animals for us and then stopping to allow us time to photograph them. His knowledge of animals and birds was phenomenal and he organised trips for us to see rhinos, where we went out with a park ranger and also to photograph a Massai village and it's people. Finally we returned on the same road, on the way spending time in the Ngorogoro Crater where we witnessed an attack on a wildebeest by a lion, also witnessed by people in twenty or so other jeeps! I can thoroughly recommend Eastco as a company and would happily travel with them again. The whole experience was amazing.
