6-Day Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Tour in Uganda

6-day tour with gorilla trekking We wanted to see gorillas - we saw gorillas! In the travel guide Uganda 2025 by Jared J. Artis, HOME TO AFRIKA was mentioned, and we immediately contacted the agency and chose this tour. The booking and payment were problem-free. There were two of us (2 women), and thanks to our guide Eli, we felt safe, comfortable, and completely satisfied. He drove very carefully and explained a lot to us along the way and otherwise, and he readily accommodated our "small requests." The evening briefing and dinner became a beloved ritual, just like the shared meals. We were also pleased with the selection of hotels, and thus our expectations were not only exceeded, but we were also thoroughly impressed by the friendly and open manner. Thank you very much for these unforgettable moments here in Uganda!!! We wholeheartedly recommend our guide Eli, as we felt safe at all times with him, especially as women traveling alone in Africa.

Beautiful experience, which introduces you to a magical country. Our guide Benon was fantastic, prepared and made us feel special. We managed to see everything and more, Too bad we couldn’t see the leopard, but it gives us the opportunity to always come back with “Home to Africa” and our special guide.

We had an amazing experience in Uganda. We arrived for the gorillas and chimpanzees however were amazed by the abundance of other wildlife we witnessed travelling through Uganda. Our guide Derrick Wadria was a fantastic guide for my friend and I and made our experience a memorable one. He was able to answer all our questions and provided great insight, particularly with his knowledge of the different areas and wild animals. Hedmond in the office also ensured a smooth planning process.

Tour: 14-Day Wildlife Trip Exploring Uganda (Western and Eastern parts of the country). We find this a very recomendable itinerary. A lot of driving, but we liked every day of it. The Eastern/Northern spots (Mount Elgon area, Kidepo) are absolutely worth it. Great operator. Hedmond had arranged everything perfectly (I wonder if such a complicated trip had worked out so well in Germany). Balam was a wonderful guide, good in game, birds an reptiles. Beautiful lodges, very good value for money. We had about 280 bird species, div. reptiles and several leopards in Murchison Falls NP. I find this trip is a must. To spend a few more days would be a good idea.

Nasser was our guide/driver... a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable man. He has been in the field long enough to know people, which was invaluable to our family on our first visit to this place.. magic! Our hotel.. you can't expect higher standard.. and great and plentiful food. Elias.. the boss.. also went above and beyond to make sure our Uganda experience went smoothly. The only advice I can give: perhaps give yourself a day in the city to reorganize yourself before embarking on the journey. I don't believe there is a place on this planet worth visiting and experiencing, I'm an adventurer myself, so almost every place on this earth I've been to, but come here i stopped because the view here is amazing, my lover likes it too, deserves 5 stars
