5Days Nile Cruise Luxor To Aswan Including Balloon and Abu Simbel

The cruise is listed as 5 star - which it is far from. Shower & Hand towels were old and grey and stained, the floors & shower not often cleaned, and the shower so small it was hard to manoeuvre - or bend down to clean your feet if over 6ft tall. The food was plentiful but average. The service from most of the crew was very friendly - they were lovely people. This cruise might not always use the same boat - but the Wifi on the Coral 2 did not work - but they will not refund. The tour guides were generally good - informative - but keen to get in and out of places quickly. Take plenty of 50 and 100 EGP notes with you - as everyone needs a tip. The tour was organised through Charming Egypt Tours who were pretty poor to reply to messages. Even our guide on day 1 said he was only told the night before he had visitors to meet at the airport. I had to get Viator to try and make contact with them on several occasions - and they struggled to do so as well. A trip up the Nile is an experience of a life time - and sitting on the sun deck of the boat - watching the river go by for 100's of km's is an experience to be had. I would recommended skipping this tour as the tour company and boat are a let down - and opt for something else.

I highly recommend this Nile cruise experience to anyone who wants to experience the real Egypt, as you will visit the best places and monuments from Aswan to Luxor. The boat, accommodation and food are of high quality. Just to experience as much as possible, you will always wake up very early, but in the afternoon after returning to the boat there is always time to relax. The trip is also adequate for the undemanding, as I also did it with my elderly parents and they also enjoyed the experience very much. This is mainly thanks to our wonderful guide Amr DiefAlah, who was very willing and friendly. He was always attentive to any questions and requests and therefore a big thank you to him for how fair and friendly he was. Amr also gave an informative explanation at each monument. We can only recommend the trip. Thanks

Only 2 days of cruise when I was expecting for more. Surprise to have to wake up before 0400 to go to Abu Simbel. WIFI on boat is very weak. Most of the guide were good , especially the one at Edfou temple. The guide at Philae Temple ( last day) was pretty bad.

Most importantly, the 5-star ship is a huge muck - even if you go by Egyptian standards, this rating would be remotely justified. It was the first time the ship (estimated) pierced the lake about 1980; and has not undergone any modernization since. The guides changed at every activity and everything was there from quite okay to bad. Otherwise, the schedule of activities was okay for us; you often get up early, but that was fine.

We booked a Nile cruise departing from Luxor with an Italian guide. The day before departure they wrote me by email that the Italian guide was not there: only English guide. Pick-up was scheduled at Luxor airport at 12 noon. NOBODY CAME. We waited until 2 pm calling the phone number indicated on the reservation but NO ONE ANSWERED. Not even the Viator call center - which acted as a booking intermediary and I contacted to try to resolve - could contact anyone. At 2 pm we were taken by taxi to the address of the agency indicated on its website: NO AGENCY OF THAT NAME EXISTS ON SITE. Basically we found ourselves having to look for a hotel in Luxor to spend the night and we had to book another cruise that leaves today. I hope to be reimbursed for the cruise not taken and for all other expenses incurred. In the meantime, I'm thinking of reporting THE GHOST AGENCY to the local tourist police. I leave a star because there's no zero

This Nile cruise exceeded our expectations. The communication from the tour company kept us always informed. The tour guides were very informative and we learned so much everywhere we visited. The 4 night cruise allowed us to see so much. I highly recommend this as a way to travel around Egypt.
