We were looking for something that covers the cultural image of Japan and or key words were sumo, Maiko, tea ceremony and maid cafe. We only had 4 days in Tokyo so this tour looked promising. Our guide Max spoke excellent English. He was properly certified (we had other tours of other agents and the guides assigned to us were kids that barely know where they were). He took us thru the streets of Asakusa way beyond the nakamise area, gave us the tea ceremony experience, gave us a lecture of sumo using presentation materials, we talked about Maiko and he proceeded to take us into a vibrant maid cafe in Akihabara giving us all we wanted to know and experience. Well done in such a short amount of time!!
We are reaching out to Max who was our guide for the Shinjuku night tour last year for a full day tour for my sister’s family who will be dropping by this summer. The intensity of the Kabukicho area was high and something we didn’t really expect from Japan and it was so entertaining. The sake and whiskey experiences was just a blast. Highly recommended!
Was a great introduction to the overwhelming Shinjyuku. We were able to quickly get hold of the different aspects of interests of Shinjyuku, while the detailed background stories made it all the way more fascinating; it was real local stuff that you only get to see with a real local. Would recommend to people who want to see the unfiltered Tokyo and get to know more for your other parts of trip in Japan. The organizers are real professional hospitality services.
