Telly African Safari has put together a very nice trip for us, which were completely to our wishes. In five days we went to four different places on safari. The driver could tell us a lot about the different animals. Every day he was at the hotel ready to make another great day of it.

I was extremely excited for this trip as this was my first time going on a safari. My wife planned the whole trip and after a lot of research she came across Telly Africa. We felt it could have been a gamble as when you approach a smaller company one always hopes for the more personalized approach and not where you could be treated just as a number. How right we were! We cannot recommend Telly Africa highly enough. They ended up being exceptionally professional, extremely well priced, and always gave us that extra attention to make the entire experience truly special. William our main go to guy, was outstanding—well versed who was always available to respond to any queries. He made us feel very welcome, part of it all and we felt that our opinions mattered. William and his business partner made a point to greet us personally at our hotel upon arrival and subsequently at the end of our journey. The level of personal attention was second to none and this made all the experience that extra special. This trip was probably a once in a lifetime experience and the fact I could share it with my wife and children made it that extra special. William helped tailor the journey from beginning to end, combining tours in Arusha, unforgettable game drives through several national parks, and a relaxing finale in Zanzibar. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife and environment was second to none, a true veteran, not only knew exactly where to go for the best sightings, but also taught us and explained meticoulously everything we were seeing. Also he was great with our boys aged 12 and 10, he made the journey so pleasant. Joel, our driver and guide on the first and last days of the trip. His bright, warm personality made us feel instantly at ease in a foreign country. He felt like the friendly neighbour next door. He showed us lovely local spots and he too was excellent with kids. These gentlemen engraved memories that will last for life. I am a seasoned traveller but rarely do you come across a team that performs so well from beginning to end, and although I am not the one to usually jump at the first option of a travel agent, wow, were we so lucky to have found Telly Africa! We had an amazing time on this tour. From start to finish everything exceeded expectations. William organized our tour for us. He responded to emails quickly, answered all our questions, and was in communication with us the entire time making sure our trip went smoothly. Our tour guide Aaron was phenomenal, with 20+ years experience as a safari guide he was a wealth of knowledge and can spot all the animals. The accommodations were excellent. We especially loved Manyara best view lodge and Manyara’s secret with their private room pools, impeccable service, and excellent food. We would highly recommend Telly Africa Safaris to anyone looking to take a bucket list safari trip.

Simon was our guide and driver for 5 days. We went to Serengeti, ngorongoro crater, lake manyara and Taranguire Safari Park. He knew exatly where to spot all the animals. Furthermore, he was actively seaeching feim them. Value for money has been fair. Recommend it for further travels.

Aaron was absolutely amazing! He made sure that everyday was well balanced with animals, beautiful scenery, and hotel time. Every accommodation was unique and unreal in their own ways. It’s hard to pinpoint the best part of the trip due to the fact that the entire trip was simply SO awesome. I highly recommend booking if this is something that is on your bucket list!

The Safari with Telly was really well organized, and a wonderful experience. My girlfriend and I we had a private trip, 5 days safari (serengeti, norongoro, tarangire) and one day seeing Kili. We had a car for ourselves which was great. A lot of people do that. Mohammed managed communication from before the booking throughout the trip and even after the trip exceptionally well. We discussed the different options regarding national parks and accomodations with Mohammed before the booking to come up with the perfect itinerary for us. We even got a briefing before the trip started to run us through the itinerary times, pick up times, locations and answer any open questions. I can only recommend to have active communication via WhatsApp, Mohammed is really responsive. Mali, our guide, did a perfect job through Serengeti, Norongoro, and Tarangire throughout 5 days. We saw all animals we wanted to see, really close, but I also want to remark that you will see what nature offers you to see. We saw that some tourist (in other cars) clearly don’t understand that and are very demand to their guides up to a point where the guide is pressured to behave incorrectly. The accommodations were great throughout the entire trip, though accomodation in northern serengeti is more basic. Also, really important, the car was in good shape and did not break down. We saw a lot of broken down cars along the way, every day, which I think is understandable given the tough roads. All in all, it was wonderful and unique experience we thank Telly a lot for the great guidance and support through the trip.

There’s no word of exaggeration when I say that Telly Safaris provided us with one of the best 6 days of our lives. We had a rough start with losing our luggage on the way and the team constantly tried to help us get it back and organise a way to get it out to us on our safari. We were also delayed quite heavily with our transfer from Zanzibar to the Serengeti but they still gave us a 4 hour safari on the day we arrived and we literally saw EVERYTHING on the first day all up close and personal. The rest of the safari itself was nothing short of spectacular, our driver Godson was unbelievable and had such incredible knowledge of the parks and went above and beyond to see the animals from all angles and sometimes raced through the parks to make sure we saw animals when knowledge came through on the intercom he used. He drove for hours and kept an incredibly keen eye for animals at the same time which made it so key in seeing literally all the animals you possible could in Africa. We saw full pods of hippos, lions catching and eating prey, baby lions with their mother and cheetahs hunting. Check out our Instagram highlights @dannyjhirst @kateehopkinson Aside from the safari we stayed in 4 hotels on our way round Tanzania and they were all incredible, genuine 4/5 star calibre with beautiful food, settings and staff who constantly made you feel welcome. You were provided with brilliant lunches on the tour and kept you going the full day. One piece of advice is to take a few jumpers, the mornings and nights can be bitterly cold till the sun comes out. I honestly don’t think we could have got better product for our money with any other company in the world, we will be forever thankful for the experience they gave us.
