Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August, my birthday month, was an unforgettable experience. The weather was perfect for trekking, with clear skies and cool, crisp air, making each day of the 5-day climb breathtaking. The views along the way were stunning. Reaching the top on my birthday felt like a personal triumph, celebrating both nature and personal achievement. Thanks to Joseph was very helpful and supportive person other than that I'm very satisfied by your organization from the landing in mosh till my departure Congratulation!!!
After reading through several reviews, I initially had some doubts, but my wife was such a wonderful soul and a postive minded she encouraged me to book with them. We paid for our trip before then later traveled with my wife to climb kili. Upon arrival we were surprised with a warm welcome at the Hotel ...this is top notch! you should experience it. We stayed for a night the next day we were up and ready for th 5 days climbing. we met Godfrey and Chrispen both looked for opportunities to make sure our climb was a success, Chrispen noticed i was struggling on summit day,i had to put my bag inside his bag and i think that was the key to get me to summit, the food was great my wife loved the new tastes and experience. I would recommend it couples, Come experience. five star rating for the dinner the send off was emotional and very great, the music performance was something else great experience we loved it and we will come back again for different activities which we saw but we weren't aware off.
Good communication in the beginning. Allowed me to pay upon arrival in cash which I appreciated to not pay bank fees. Once when payment is made, communication was slower and crew for Kili was not good. 2 porters were unfit to walk up and sick( injured leg). Other porter tried to cover for injured guy, but that jeopardised our climb. Since me and 2 other people only climbed summit night with 2 crew members. 2 of 3 of us did not make it. Both guides needed to go down and I needed to climb with another team. Main tour guide Atuman was giving whole time wrong assumptions (lying) how long we need to next point and was pushing us too fast on summit night. We passed 5-6 teams, but that resulted in quicker alttitude sickness for 2 of us. He was just saying if you have nausea, just vomit and push. That is extremly dangerous and he was jeopardiseing our health. Also it seemed that crew did not had basic medication with them such as paracetamol and ibuprofen. They asked us to borrow them some. Company does not care about their porters that much in my opinion. That is why they offer such cheap tour. I paid 1350 dollars for 5 days Marangu. Accomodation before and after trip was in a good hotel and transport from and to airport was punctual and good.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We deeply regret the issues you encountered during your climb and truly value your input, as it helps us improve. First, we’re glad to hear that the initial communication, cash payment option, accommodation, and transport arrangements met your expectations. However, we are sincerely sorry that the overall experience fell short, particularly during such a critical part of the climb. Regarding the porters and crew, we take these concerns seriously. Your safety and the competence of our team are our highest priorities. We acknowledge that two unfit porters on your trip were not acceptable, and we are taking steps to ensure that our crew is physically capable and prepared for the challenges of Kilimanjaro. We also regret the lack of basic medication and the reliance on guests to supply it. This is not in line with our standards, and we will be addressing this oversight immediately by reinforcing our health and safety protocols. As for the guidance and pace set by Atuman, we are especially concerned to hear that it led to altitude sickness for some in your group. Pacing and communication are vital for a successful summit, and we will be retraining our guides on how to balance safety with the need for progression. We are committed to supporting our porters, ensuring they have what they need to do their jobs effectively and safely, and we’ll investigate this matter thoroughly to address any shortcomings. We appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention and would like to offer a follow-up conversation to further discuss this. Please reach out to us, and again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
