If you are traveling to Tanzania for safari, treat yourself to the best. From airport pickup to airport drop off, every moment of our 5 day safari was top notch. Our driver, Andrew, has over 20 years experience as a guide. Across three national parks, he knew the layout of all three like it was his home. He knew where to find the animals, hidden spots, and by the end, we’d actually seen all of the Big 5, as well as some cool quirky animals slomg the wet. Love the Hyrax and the Dik Dik! Accommodation each night was nothing short of luxury, and we were on the mid level safari. Absolute glamping! I can’t recommend these guys enough. They are so kind and accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. Chadrick will customize the safari to your time allotment and budget, Andrew will make it unforgettable!!

The pluses: 1. Office offers super speedy client service. Any issue you have you can write them and they promptly act. Very polite, very considerable, felt safe. 2. Bhonge, our chef, was EXCELLENT! Such a nice guy with a big heart and beautiful mind and what a chef. The food was versatile, flavorful and always fresh. 3. You will hate waking up before everyone else but trust me, one of the best things is that they start tours early before most cars arrive. You get to spend at least part of the day in privacy. 4. Tumsifu, our second guide, is probably the most intelligent and well-read person we met during our trip. He not only knows plenty about wildlife but also about culture, politics, world affairs etc. He is calm, has lots of respect for wildlife and his guests. Super happy we got to spend part of our safari with him. The neutral: Our first guide, Samuel, requires different kind of taste than ours. He is very.... kindergarten teacher like, talks a lot (same repetitive stories about animals) but at the same time he is very caring and a good person in heart. Just not for everyone. The negative: Our car was very broken. It was not possible to close 2 of the windows totally and opening them was very very difficult (1 needed 4 people to do it together). During dusty drives that meant that dust came in and you couldn't open windows to let air in during the non-dusty parts. 2 grab handles fell off during our drives. One hitting my boyfriend on the head. Also, it was obvious the engine wasn't freshest anymore so we drove way slower than the rest. That car is waiting for retirement.

Thanks to him, we came home with incredible pictures and memories that will last a lifetime. What impressed us most was his deep respect for nature and wildlife. He always switched off the engine at the right moments, encouraged everyone to stay quiet, and made sure the animals’ wellbeing always came first. His experience, professionalism, and genuine passion for wildlife are evident in everything he does. We were also extremely impressed by the quality of the accommodations and the food throughout the trip. Every lodge and camp was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located, while every meal was delicious. The food was fresh, varied, and prepared to a high standard. The most exciting part, however, was spending the nights inside Serengeti National Park. Sleeping in a tented lodge surrounded by wildlife roaming freely around the camp after dark is an experience unlike any other. At the same time, we always felt completely safe, as guests are escorted by the camp staff whenever they walk between their tents and the common areas after sunset. It perfectly combines adventure with complete peace of mind. After five days on safari, we are convinced that the guide is what truly makes the difference between a good safari and an unforgettable one. I went on the 5 day camping safari with Meru Slopes as a solo traveler; it was the trip of a lifetime. Rashid the cook and Lobulu the guide made our experience unforgettable—excellent food and lots of knowledge. I wanted to meet fellow travelers, and we had a group of 6 from all over the world during the safari. Do keep in mind that the camping requires you to be prepared with headlamps, towels, power banks, etc., since it is really a tent in the middle of the Serengeti. Also, the hotel in Arusha, Tourist Inn, is very bare bones probably one star; if you are a picky traveler, I would suggest booking your own hotel in Arusha. Overall, amazing experience—will highly recommend Meru Slopes

This experience was wonderful! Our guide Patrick was fantastic, always available for anything and thorough in his explanations during the various tours. Chef Buga always delighted us with excellent dishes and great friendliness, making the experience truly enjoyable and unforgettable. Our driver-guide, Andrew, was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with throughout the trip. He worked hard to make sure we had the best wildlife viewing opportunities and helped make the experience unforgettable. Our chef, Gideon, was also outstanding. He was very accommodating, and the food was consistently delicious, healthy, and far better than I expected while camping. The camping experience was a lot of fun, and the accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained for a camping safari. Thanks to the team’s efforts, we were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five, including incredible sightings in both the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. Great experience with Meru slopes. Everything was perfect starting from the magnificent views to our tour guide Max who did a remarkable job explaining everything we see around us in exhaustive details. Max made sure we saw all sorts of animals in different habitat (lions, elephants, rhinos, monkeys, leopards, hippos and more).
