We were so very fortunate to have Ahmed Haggag as our tour guide during our 7 day cruise down the Nile. He was our Egyptologist for Philae Temple, Aswan Dam, Kom Ombu, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple. As well as sharing his knowledge at the temples, he often came back to the boat to answer our questions and tell us a little of the history of Egypt. As well as being an excellent tour guide he took very good care of us by taking us to a variety of shops when we told him we were interested in buying a certain product (Egyptian cotton, a silver cartouche). He knows the best places which offer fair prices. He was very protective of us wanting us to have the best experience in Egypt. Most importantly, he was just a lot of fun and had a good sense of humour. We had many laughs together. We would recommend Ahmed to other tourists looking for a knowledgeable Egyptologist.
