We booked a 13-day itinerary in Kenya and Tanzania with Zanzi Trekking and Safaris, and I cannot recommend them enough. Every detail was carefully taken care of. The attention and dedication of Dennis and Honest were outstanding — they were always reachable and willing to help us with anything we needed. The team at Zanzi Trekking and Safaris is truly professional. The guides were very knowledgeable during the safaris in Kenya and Tanzania, and the crew for the Mount Meru hike was extremely dedicated. I loved having the chance to combine two very different experiences within one itinerary. As mentioned, if I ever go back to Kenya or Tanzania, I will definitely contact Zanzi again!

I did a 7 days safari trip with Zanzi trekking and safaris, including 2 days in Tarangire, 3 days Serengeti, 1 day Ngorongoro and 1 day Manyara. At the end the tour was done by one of the trusted partners of Zanzi trekking and safaris and I had 3 separate guides during these 7 days for different segments of my trip. I was aware of this kind of practices specially for a budget safari as the one that I booked and to be honest I think most companies do that, in my groups I even had people doing a mid range safari. The main problem with that they tried to accommodate different schedules, so sometimes your days is shortened so that part of your group can go back to Arusha. In that sense I think the 7 day safari may not bee truly a 7 days and given the price, I would recommend maybe 5 days including 3 at Serengeti and 1 full day in Ngorongoro. Given these kind of practices, as a tip you always have to inform your guide of what is your schedule and if you have to come back to Arusha or not that day and when or what kind of tour did you book (budget, mid-range, etc) because based on that, you may have a different cook, lodge, etc. As I said I chose a budget camping safari and the facilities were beyond what I was expecting even in the public campsites that I went, there were western toilets, even shower with hot water in some of the campsites and the tents were quite strong and spacious. The company upgraded me a couple of nights to a better accommodation and one day that we finished earlier the organised another activity to keep us busy. Having said that, I think specially the part including Serengeti and Ngorongoro was delivered by a very good company, thanks Zanzi for having such a great partner. The guides were good, knowledgeable, entertaining and understanding. We saw plenty of animals although we missed the leopard. Unforgetable experience.

My experience on this safari was absolutely extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized, a warm welcome, clear explanations, and flawless care from start to finish. My son and had an amazing safari experience with Zazni. We saw a ton animals - including lions , cheetahs, leopards with cubs , very close encounters with elephants, giraffes, lions , and hyenas . Our driver Zamir was very skilled at getting us close to animals, knowledgeable on the terrain and animal habitats/ behaviors, he was respectful of the time we spent in different areas and what we wanted to see , the box lunches were filling and delicious, we had plenty of bottled water , he was even willing to start one day at 500 am since our time was limited that day due to an early flight. If we do another safari- we would for sure book with Zanzi !

I went on a safari tour with this company. They kept in touch with me frequently even before the tour started, so I was able to relax and enjoy the day.The day before the tour, they came to the hotel to discuss the details of the tour and carefully explained the schedule changes. During the tour, our guide Solomon did his best for us, providing detailed explanations and talking to keep things interesting. He listened to what animals we wanted to see and did his best to help us see them. He was a very reliable guide. Solomon is a person I respect and one of the people I was glad to meet in Tanzania. I had heard that they would give me a T-shirt and a cap before the tour, but I didn't have a chance to receive them, so I had given up, but on the last day they came to deliver them to me at the airport, and I ended up with the best souvenir.

This trip was something on my bucket list for a long time, and Zanzi trekking did not disappoint! From my initial inquiries, they were fast to respond to any questions and give me information I needed. It was a stress free booking process and the day before we started the tour, a member of the team, called Honest, came to our hotel to explain how it would all run. We started our 5 day tour with our driver called Ruben (sorry if I have spelt that wrong) picking us up. From the very start Ruben was great at giving all the information about what to expect on the 5 days. He was professional and full of knowledge. On the tour; Ruben tried his best to get us to all the animals we wanted to see. Any questions we had about the wildlife were well answered. Ruben told us he had studied wildlife at school and this shown. Another reason we went on the tour was for my birthday, to my surprise, in the Serengeti I was surprised with a birthday cake! Our chef had sorted this out and it’s something I cannot be thankful enough for. A true memory I’ll never forget. From Liam, Jordan and Linus, thank you for making our trip unforgettable and we couldn’t recommend you enough.
