We done the 4 days, 3 nights budget serengeti safari and loved every minute. Our guide Simbo/Simba was great, his enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience unforgettable, he also has a great eye for spotting wildlife ( perhaps due to his love for carrot soup). We saw some amazing sightings. Our chef christian was also great. He prepared some lovely food throughout and we enjoyed it all. I have put 4 stars on the review however because the company (perfect wilderness tours and safaris) did not make it one bit clear just how much of a tip was expected. The workers work very hard and deserve to be protected, IT SHOULD BE MADE CLEARER that a larger tip for guides and chefs is required in comparison to the booking fee to avoid the final day stresses that we had to face in ensuring we tipped the two workers highly. That is, as they both fully expected and also deserved. All we were told was (Tips are optional) and perhaps that made us underestimate the extent of tipping importance.
