We spent a wonderful holiday with this company. The only company I have found with the opportunity to visit safaris in both tanzania and kenya. These guys arrange everything for you if you let them know in good time, and I mean really EVERYTHING! As we were in Zanzibar John arranged a flight from Zanzibar, then we visited the Serengeti with an amazing overnight stay in the middle of the park and then Ngorongoro Crater the next day. By then we had already scored a BIG 5 after day 2. Later from Arusha we went to Amboseli Park in Kenya, this is the best place in Africa to see Kilimanjaro in all its glory but remember you have to be there very early or at sunset because for most of the day the mountain is hidden behind clouds. Nonetheless, we managed to spot a beautiful snowy peak in the Savanah landscape. Later we flew out of Nairobi. And all this in 4 days as for us the perfect time. If I were to repeat any trip in Africa, it would be with them! They know their stuff and are mega nice. In addition, the meals in between the tours are prepared by them and taste great!
We had booked a 5 day safari which was wonderful. John is always quickly available and answers the questions and tries to find a suitable solution for everything. For example, we were not thrilled with the lunch on the first day of the safari. After consulting with John, we had very tasty and warm lunch menus from day 2 until the end of the safari. We even got an overnight upgrade in Serengeti for a newer lodge. As a tip, look at the accommodations in advance and if you are not satisfied, or have concerns then just contact John directly. He will find a solution for sure. I would also like to mention our guide Emmanuel who made our 5 day safari tour even more special.

Our guide Bakari was the best, i recommand this agency. We saw all of the big five. I have nothing more to say but i cant do less than 100 caracters.
What can I say? John offered the best safari we could find after such a long time I was trying to make it happen! We did Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro and John tried his best to find the perfect accommodations for me for the whole safari and to do the activities exactly as I asked. Also with regard to the cost!! The guide he gave us for the safari was amazing, Joshua. Professional, certified and prepared!! We saw all the big fives and many others (including flamingos!!) but more importantly, the tour was very educational as we could have explanations of the animal's behaviors which we appreciated a lot!! John also arranged the Zanzibar services and excursions which I required for my stay on the island and they were all very well handled! He was always there to reply to all my questions and he also took us personally on a tour to the Chemka hot springs and to visit a local coffee farm which we really appreciated! We lost $7300 as we were advised by Royal Tours that we could get a visa on arrival in Nairobi for the transfer to Arusha, which was reorganised by John at the company, when the flight to Zanzibar was cancelled and we had to re route via Kenya. He did not organise the transfer flight to Arusha from Nairobi, and organised a car to pick us up, which meant that we had to go through passport control in Nairobi. As we were not advised to apply for a visa in advance, but that we could get one on arrival, we were denied boarding on our flight and missed all the connections. We have issued legal proceedings to recover our losses which include the safari and international flights.
Hello, we thanks to our customers for sharing for their feedback here. But we are disagreeing with this review by the following supporting evidences. 1.(Terrible advice) Initial their plan was to start safari in Zanzibar and Last minute they asked for an assistance to assist them to be picked in Nairobi kenya which very far and another country while we had ready booked their flight from zanzibar to serengeti and we have their tickets, so it takes a loss as everything is non refundable and we also shared with them our terms and conditions as for us we also know from our suppliers once we pay them everything is non refundable http://royaltigertours.com/terms-and-conditions After their flight changed to Land in Nairobi they asked as if we can pick them from Nairobi and the option we found is to pick them by transfer car to Arusha and Join the flights to Serengeti as our driver and their safari jeep was ready in serengeti we hire another company and pay them full to go to Nairobi jommo kenyata for pickup and we had an WhatsApp groupn and they were communicating with all their drivers via the group and they were the one who told all the drivers to get back to Arusha as the clients stucked in Intanbul to fly to Nairobi and the visa they asked and we answered them in of Transfer from Nairobi to Arusha though its true everyone can find the true or come to Tanzania or Kenya all Visas are available on arrival i don't know what happen on their side. -As they said they are claimimg refund to the air company its true that the problem is on the plane which leave them in ISTANBUL while for us we know nothing about getting from Istanbul to Nairobi and its open in our website that we are not concern with Visas, pasports or insurances always this are on customers side(Passport and visas Your passport must be valid for six months beyond for the duration of your visit in Tanzania. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your tour. We are not responsible if you are refused to entry Tanzania, because you lack the correct passport, visa or other travel documentation) Main Point is that the information's we answered to them is for their options two which was like help for this options, after they missed flight to Zanzibar they planned them self to land so we were sure we will pick them and help them to take it at Namanga and this always posiible to get visa at any point of arrival and we have all communucations and for them they did not come to Nairobi as we were there already with all local flights ready booked and all hotels so we entered into big losses as the clients stuck in Istanbul which was out of our control as Istanbul is not East Africa we have proof of all bookings of local flights, hotels,pictures of our jeep in serengeti and videos of our driver hired cmpanies waiting at arrival of Jommo kenyata and it was raining full night as they were supposed to Land at 03:00am it was real had issues on us and our team. Alternative possible solutions For us we are Okay to give the clients the booking voucher of 50% to use them on their next Safari and we promise them we Unforgettable safari with good service. The safari with Royal Tigers Tours and Safari was very well planned. Distances in between each park are important, so there's a loss of time due to the car drives, but that's part of the deal, you gotta be aware of this. The 4 days and 3 nights budget was very nice, we were lucky enough to see the big 5, and we were really enjoying every moment of it... the dream come true when you get into those places... John was very helpful with any kind of questions/requests we had, also in last minute. We were a group of 7 tourists in a car (+1 guide) with other tours companies (when they don't have enough people on a specific timing, they group people in one car) but that was ok. You have to know that the "budget" tours are obligatory with groups of other tourists... I would definitely recommand John and Royal Tiger Tours and Safari for a very nice experience in Tanzania.

Me and my girlfriend went to Arusha, where we had planned a 4 day safari to 1125 USD per person - we got picked up at the airport, everything was very nice. We had agreed on a private tour with some good accommodation, and we thought it was a good deal. at 8 PM the day just before safari, John, the guy we had discussed the price with, wrote a message to me on WhatsApp saying that we should talk. He got to our hotel and said that we wouldn't be able to do the safari with the accommodation that we had agreed on, if we wanted to do the safari we would have to pay 200 USD more.. Of course we didn't wanna do that since we agreed to a certain price. John tried to make some alternatives, where the accommodation would be a bit worse, and we still had to pay 45 USD more, even tho the places were significally worse. We took all the way to Arusha/Kilimanjaro just for the safari, that we already paid 2250 USD for. We didn't come to any agreement and therefore we both decided it would be best to just cancel the safari. John didn't want to transfer the money back to us, as the fees for international travel would cost him money, and withdrawing the money would be 1.44% that WE had to pay, even tho it was him screwing the safari. We therefore only got 2217 USD back, and not the full 2250 USD. We really felt like being scammed, and would therefore not recommend this company to anyone. Best part of the whole experience was getting the 2217 USD back. In total we spent 111 USD getting to Arusha and paying the fee for international money transfer, just for the safari to be cancelled. And still John didn't want to pay the 1.44% that the cash withdrawel would cost. I recommend to find another operator.

We Value your Feedback Regarding to the complain First of all you contacted us for the tour just 24 hours before arrival and ask us for the safari, were we picked you from Kilimanjaro airport to your own booked accommodation in Arusha for further negotiation and payment of your Safari, we picked you with our safari jeep and driver guide with our own costs without any reservation made from you and at last you didn't pay anything for best pick up which we offer you and drop you to the Hotel white house of Tanzania which was far from Arusha town at our own costs. Second the amount that you paid $1125pp was not enough for 4 Days Lodging Tanzania Safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with 4 stars accommodation as you wanted instead we showed you all the invoices for lodges and Park fees breakdown and we finally find that if you pay us $1125pp because I got the best offers from all lodges that it will okay to operates but instantly we found there were increase of park fees and then we told you to be so kind and add $163 pp which was the deficits, but you told us that your budget was not allowing you to adds anything since you was two students while for us the service provider and the park will not listen us, instead to lower the prices we asked you to Changed some accommodation 2 nights at Marera valley lodge to two nights at Fanaka Lodge to solve everything so that we finnish the deal and we could top up the deficits by our side but finally you said also the accommodation suggested is worse while your budget was not even enough for private tour with budget camping accommodation. For sure by our side your reviews is disappointing us we never slept to work hard to make you happy but finally you did not appreciated and posted two bad reviews about us which is totally unfair. Also the National Parks raised park fees not because of the high season but the national park authority raised the park fee from July 2021 to July 2022 and this is what's caused your bad experience and this affected all future booking and reservation so all customers should understand and clear the differences but for you its sad instead you cancelled the Safari and posted bad reviews (In order to ensure that all bookings that travel from the 1 July 2021 are financially accurate, our team is editing all the relevant rates. We will be sure to provide you with any updates as we review the reservations). Third, Its not us who cancelled the Safari as you laid as we are looking for customers and we showed you several options to fits with your budget even to to short the safari to 3 Days then we return some amount to you but you refused everything and tell us to return your money which we managed to do it very faithful and we did not paid $33 which as bank surcharge since we offered you free airport transfers and thought that you will appreciate to compasate. Fourth, after we give you your money back at the last hotel which was also far were we use our own costs to find you we also found the bad expensive as bad tourist which make us sad as we're unlucky to meet you we always wish to guarantee best service to our customers. OUR BEST ADVICE MESSAGE TO OUR CUSTOMERS We would like to take this opportunity to advice all customers to make enough research before booking the safari and avoid some bad reviews on tour selection since there are some customers who got uncorrect informations about Tanzania Safari prices and finally they want to go with the prices which is not enough for Safari and all of this kind are the one that are reviewing bad comments. It was amazing, our guide did his best and we could see all big 5. Even in the remaining season we drave through all the places we needed. The staff were very patient and the hotels were fine.
