4 Days Group Joining Camping Safari to Tarangire Serengeti Ngorongoro Crater

We just got back from a 4-day safari with 2 nights camping in the Serengeti and 1 night at the edge of Ngorongoro Crater. The experience really exceeded our expectations! We booked quite last-minute, so Contana was super helpful to find a place for us in a group with 3 other sweet people. If you are joining a group, there can be some detours and/or delays while the guide works to accommodate everyone, so it helped to keep an open mind and go with the flow. Our guide Mike was the best! He made sure each of us had a great experience. He navigated the roads expertly and was very funny, attentive and knowledgable. And Kevin cooked a hearty and delicious meal for us 3 times a day. We saw everything we hoped we would and more. This was a really great value and we can highly recommend going with Avocet :)

We got sold 4 days safari with 4 days FULL day game drive Day 1 „full day game drive“ entering the Tarangire Park: 12:45 p.m, driving out at 5 p.m At the entrance gate to the national park were the guides rather chatting with each other then buying the entrance tickets and go finally on a safari We were told we would sleep the first night in a comfortable king-size bed. We ended up sleeping in a single bed which was 1,80 m long (I´m 1,92m). The mattress was so thin that one could feel the wood under the mattress Day 2 „full day game drive“ Entering Ngorongoro: 12:30 a.m, driving out at 5:15 p.m Breakfast started at 9 a.m. After breakfast, we had to wait because the cars weren´t packed correctly and the guides had to change. Before entering the Ngorongoro the guides did again a lot of small talk and wasted time. Then our car with all the guests inside had to push another car from the company because it had broken down From 5:15 p.m until 8 p.m we drove at high speed through the Serengeti to our camping space. Couldn´t see any animals at this high speed and arrived at the camping ground when it was dark. Day 3 „full day game drive“ 8 a.m – 4:15 p.m (this was the only day that came close to an actual full day game drive) We started driving in the Serengeti at 8 a.m, we were by far not the first car who left the camp. After 4:15 p.m we were driving again at high speed to the camp in Ngorongoro Crater for the night. Day 4 „full day game drive“ 7:15 a.m – 1:40 p.m Unfortunately, we have been always one of the last cars that start driving in the mornings. Because the same car we had to push on day 2 broke down again, we had to take all the people from this car in our car. This means that all the seats 2 people had to sit. Safety!? Apart from that, because this costs us a lot of time, the driver had to drive really really fast to make it to later appointments. Some people feared for their lives In total very unprofessional company and a disappointing experience. Especially because this tip cost us 650 USD per person. Please stay away from this company.

Unforgettable safari experience! Bakari was a standout driver who knew every animal we saw. Hos driving was outstanding and he never got us stuck. Great tunes in the car top, highly recommended!

Best safari and driver guide ever!! When you book this safari ask for Isa, he does the best job!! We saw the big five, three leopards very close and a male lion hunting, which is very rare!! Very recommended!

Mr Matali was an amazing guide. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable and we saw all of the "Big 5" during our adventure. The African food provided by his cook was delicious, different every meal and introduced us to "real people" food, not tourist food. He made sure we had everything we needed as each park was different in both temperature, terrain, and the animals we saw.

I don't have enough words to say how amazing this experience was. I highly reccomend this company - the food was great, we saw all "Big 5" animals, and the accomodations were comfortable. Mr. Metele was an incredibly knowledgable guide and knew where to find all the animals- some of the jeeps would bunch up into packs but we spent a lot of time out on the open road with just us and the animals.

A great multi day safari experience with professional driver/guide Frank. He is very kind, has loads of experience (knows where to drive, spot animals,...), listens and answers your questions very well and carefully and drives safely (for passengers, animals and environment). Also a big thanks and thumbs up for the chef, very friendly and makes the meals with lots of taste. Communication with the group was very good (what is the planning of the day, when waking up, breakfast, leaving,...). The nights sleeping in tents in the national parks were a great and safe experience.

I've been guided by Frankie. He was very good driver and patient with my 100 questions on animals, plants, birds and snakes. He was always punctual for meetings and departures for the game drives. So far avotec was the cheapest option that I've found for 3 days safari and it didn't disappoint. Highly suggested

We had an incredible experience during this Safari (Tarangire-Serengeti-Ngorongoro).. The service was very good, and Frankie our driver listened attentively to all our needs throughout the trip. They truly took care of us and catered to every request during the safari. Not only was the food excellent, but the nights spent in the tents in middle of Serengeti and Ngorongoro were truly unique and unforgettable.
