Absolute 10/10 Safari Experience!

We had an absolutely incredible 4-day safari experience! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our guide, Mathayo, is highly experienced and knowledgeable—thanks to him, we managed to see the Big Five! I highly recommend Serengeti África Tour, and especially Mathayo. A truly 10-star experience!

Golden Honeymoon Experience

Me and my Wife purchased this experience for our Honeymoon and it is safe to say this was worth every penny! We managed to see all 5 of the Big 5 plus many more. Our Guide Laurence was an absolute gem! Couldn't do more for our 7 strong group. Forever adhering to our very demanding instructions when stopping or manoeuvring to get the best photo opportunity locations. He was very polite, knowledgeable (best oppertunity sites, animals and cultural facts) always willing to interact and get involved with the group. Couldn't have asked for a better guide for this experience. Our Chef's Richard and Pasco were also very polite, friendly and looked after us... no scratch that! Spoilt! Us with our food during our experience. They took the time to accommodate dietary requirements amending or even creating new dishes for those unable to eat the normally prepared foods. Our first stay at Ngerigeri Public Camping Site was wonderful and loved the cultural show put on for us in the evening featuring Dancing, Signing, Music and Acrobatics. Our second stay was also amazing, although it was too dark to catch the name of the site. The tents were spacious enough for me, my wife and our two week's worth of luggage (as we were flying elsewhere after the Safari experience) Stars as far as the eyes could see! Reasonable facilities, however... it would be wise to pack toilet roll if you are uncomfortable using a bidet. Showers tempetatures were mild at best and didn't have the best water pressure but more than sufficient to was a days worth of bush dust away. Didn't bother me but... for the wife... you can imagine how she felt. Finally the last stay at Simba (A) Public Camping Site was vastly better in terms of facilities and being in the middle of nowhere its deathly silent. Magnificent! With amazing views from all sides of the campsite. The cherry on the cake for me was the Hot Air Balloon Experience with Serengeti Ballon Safari's. Our Pilot Ed Chapman was a legend! Spotting, Navigation, Experience and Knowledge all in one package. The Bush Breakfast, Champagne and Experience that followed for us was just a no brainer. Please note... be prepared for an early start. 5am Pick Up and 6:30 Take-Off Time. We landed around 8:30 and Breakfast around 9:00 and it was worth the wait! Overall, couldn't have wished for a better experience. We will definitely be doing it again! Maybe on a Big Anniversary.

Tour Operator Failure - Trip is Fantastic

Serengeti African Tours markets itself as an ultra-luxury travel provider, which makes our experience all the more disappointing. Despite paying a substantial premium, the reservation arrangements confirmed to our group just 1 day in advance, were not honored, resulting in significant inconvenience and the unnecessary separation of two couples traveling together. This created an avoidable and uncomfortable situation that should never have occurred. What was most frustrating was that there was a simple solution available: provide the arrangements that had been promised and paid for. Instead, the issue was mishandled, no meaningful effort was made to resolve it, and the follow-up response consisted of little more than an unsatisfactory email explanation. Our group entrusted Serengeti African Tours based on the expectation that the company would deliver the experience it sold. Unfortunately, it failed to uphold its commitments, and its response afterward demonstrated a disappointing lack of accountability and customer service. Luxury travel is defined not only by the destinations and accommodations, but by flawless execution and responsive service when problems arise. In our case, Serengeti African Tours fell well short of the standards it claims to represent. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company and will be sharing our experience with others considering booking through them. A couple of highlights which kept it from 1 star: Our Guide (Godfrey Maarifa) was very knowledgeable, engaging, and good to work with. If you can book directly with him, he's great. The park overdelivers. I suspect that the guide had a significant impact on the animal viewing but we saw them all. Definitely recommend the trip, just not the tour operator based on the customer service and attention to details.

Best experience and guide ever!

We have had 4 incredible days on safari together with our amazing guide Godfrey & our chef Richard. Godfrey has taken such good care of us and is incredibly knowledgeable and good at his job, while becoming our friend. Richard cooked incredible food & was always so friendly to us. This is the coolest thing I’ve experienced and it’s thanks to Godfrey & Richard. In addition to this we got lots of snacks, refills of drinks when we wanted, wine & beer. We were really spoiled throughout the trip. Thank you for the best experience ever!!

Best trip and best guide/Chef

This trip has been absolutely amazing truly the best four days of our safari. We were so lucky to have the best guide, Godfrey (Marifa), and the best chef, Richard. Without them, this safari would not have been such an unforgettable experience. Godfrey, our incredible guide, went above and beyond to make sure we saw as many animals as possible, including the special Big Five. He was always eager to share his knowledge, explaining everything in such an engaging way it’s clear why they call him “Marifa.” His passion, expertise, and dedication made every moment even more special, and I’m so grateful he was our guide. Chef Richard was simply the best. He made sure we were never hungry, always checking in to see if we enjoyed the food, and consistently preparing delicious meals that exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much! Luula// from Sweden

Great trip with 'King David'!

We booked the 5 day/4 night Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Lodge Safari. It was a wonderful experience and we got to see a great variety of wildlife. Since we had spent a week in Kruger NP earlier in our Africa trip, we had wondered whether it would be worth also doing a tour in the Serengeti. The answer was definitely 'yes' and we are very glad that we decided to do this safari with Serengeti African Tours. Serengeti is a very special place, and is quite differnet (a lot 'wilder') than Kruger. In the planning stage, Antonia was great to work with via WhatsApp - very responsive in answering our many questions. Our guide was David, who was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the places we visited, and we were most impressed with David's ability to deal with very challenging roads, muddy bogs, minor mechanical issues etc. We always felt safe in David's hands and he was very informative. We had many great animal sightings, including all the remaining 'Big 5' that we had not seen yet in Kruger. Our accommodation on the tour was very nice, especially the Suricata Boma Lodge that we had on the first and final night near Lake Manyara. The food, drink and service at our accommodations was great. For some of the trip we travelled with our own chef, who made the nice lunches that we had along the way at picnic stops, and the dinners for some of the group who were staying at campgrounds. I think we had selected an option for a higher level of accommodation when booking the tour - other members of our group were in different accommodations. This meant that there were sometimes minor delays in the mornings, as we'd have to go to multiple sites to pick up all the members of our group. We were impressed with the efficiency of Serengeti African Tours. We'd left one of our suitcases at the hotel in Arusha, and had to retrieve that bag from the company at the end of the tour before being dropped at Kilimanjaro Airport for our flight. We had been a bit concerned about the logistics and whether this would all work smoothly. No need to worry - it all went seamlessly. Another driver was ready to take us to the airport - suitcase already onboard - as we arrived back in Arusha on the final day. All in all, we were extremely happy with our tour and would be happy to recommend it to others!

Interesting day hike to Mandara hut

We had an amazing time hiking up to the first camp at Mandara Hut. fantastic guides(Gasto) that were knowledgeable about the trail and kept us motivated to get to the top of our journey as the air thinned. It was challenging but manageable. bring water but try to pack as little as possible so you have less to lug up the trail We recommend to any one who want to taste the Kilimanjaro mountain
