Decent product though a bit unnecessary

This is an external agency booking tour services through primary companies. Service was accessible and flexible and fast whatsapp responses, though not without flaws. In general satisfied, though unsure what this companie's concrete contribution was. I was on the 4-day Salkantay Trek, and briefing at the company through whom SAMEX books (KB Adventure) was rushed and a bit inconsistent with the initial briefing at the SAMEX-office. Number of allowed kg to bring was different (which resulted in a 10PEN fine while on the trek) and briefing before the trek itself was not coordinated properly, which meant I was not briefed along with the rest of my group but on my own. A bit awkward. Would recommend going straight to the companies actually doing the different tours.

Operator response

Dear Albert, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. At Samex Tours Peru, we truly value every piece of feedback, as it helps us continuously improve the quality of our services. We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your 4-day Salkantay Trek, particularly regarding the coordination of the briefing session, the inconsistent baggage allowance information, and the rushed experience with our partner agency. While we collaborate with authorized local operators for the execution of some services, we take full responsibility for ensuring that all details are properly organized and clearly communicated. In this case, we did not meet that standard, and for that, we are truly sorry. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the accessibility, flexibility, and responsiveness of our team via WhatsApp. Thank you for sharing your honest feedback—it helps us grow and do better. Please know that we are taking steps to improve coordination with our partner agencies to prevent similar situations in the future. Your experience is important to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better next time. Sincerely, The Samex Tours Peru Team

Amazing experience

We booked the trip for my son's 18th birthday, looking for wild and cultural experiences. It was worth it. Everything was perfect from the beginning : easy contact with the agence and Mateo who answered our questions very quickly and adapted our program according to all our needs and wishes. As from our arrival contact with him was very easy. He drove us in a private car tour all around Cusco during 2 days : sacred Valley, Salinas de Maras, Moray,... It was perfect to get used to the altitude. Then we left tor the 4d/3n Inca trail with a private guide and a private team of porters and it was just amazing : all very well organized, the guide followed our physical rythm,... It was physically quite hard but less thant expected thanks to the special attention the team provided us : incredible food, hot breakfast, coca tea at any time, tea times after the walk, hot water to wash ourselfs a little bit, 3 courses diner evrynight... Just incredible. During our walks, the guide gave us many explanations about inca's civilization and Peruvian culture. The top of the trip was when we reached our goal, so proud of us : the arrival at sungate very early in the morning to see the sunrise on Machu Picchu. We finished our holiday by an excursion by the rainbow mountain. Even if it's a three ours drive frol Cusco, you can't skip this experience! Thanks to Mateo and Samex Tour Perú, we will keep amazing memories from this wonderful trip.
