Finishing our 4 day adventure in the Ndutu Plains with Simon, we realized just how unique this corner of Tanzania is during the Migration’s beginning stages. Flying in allowed us to land directly in a world where wildlife determined the day’s pace. The calving season was intensely beautiful-tiny calves stumbling beside their mothers, sometimes learning to run within an hour of birth. The vulnerability was striking, especially when predators appeared in the distance, watching and waiting. Still, the plains were full of life and optimism. We enjoyed taking slower drives, appreciating smaller details like the patterns in the soil, the calls of distant birds, and the way the wind moved through the grass. Our camp staff created a warm atmosphere, offering great meals and stories that added richness to each evening. As a family, we left with a sense of gratitude for witnessing such a raw and meaningful part of nature's cycle. Peaceful family adventure in Tanzania.
