Fascinating glacier hike with many impressions and interesting information about the world of glaciers.
This was an incredible tour led by a highly knowledgeable and experienced guide. Despite it being windy, we always felt safe thanks to his calm and confidence. He provided fascinating insights into the glacier’s rapid transformation, drawn from over a decade of guiding in the area. One particularly striking moment was when he pointed out a large ice arch that had completely collapsed within the past week, a poignant reminder of how quickly the landscape is changing. Learning that the glacier is retreating by around 200meters annually was insane, and really underscored the urgency of the climate crisis.
Excellent route .guide very sloped and friendly. Final surprise, ice cave, I definitely recommend it.
We had a great experience walking on the glacier with our guide Stefan. We enjoyed this hike a lot! He took us up a steep path and the views were beautiful at the top. He showed us some of the glacial features that were cool to see.
