3 Days 2 Nights Oasis Bay Classic Cruise Halong Bay

Because it was difficult to get a 3 day cruise at the weekend, our hotel in Hanoi booked us this cruise. What was nice was: Very friendly people on the boat. Nothing was too much. Very tasty and varied food. Bed was pretty clean. Good mattress. Bad was: The boat is a dump. Cabins were not really clean, so filthy. Water leaked through the floorboards. Everything looked old and worn. You don't see much of Halong Bay because the boat barely sails. Our first day we were supposed to spend on the boat but were dropped off at a hostel on Cat Ba without further information. The hostel was otherwise fine but it said when booking that a hotel stay was planned. In the evening we were taken to a cave for dinner. The food was very good. Music was very loud. The next day we got a taxi ride to the boat. 40 minutes of kayaking was fun but you are taken to a kind of tourist factory. Nice kayak route but very busy. Hundreds of people from all over the world. After kayaking, it went by boat to an even more terrible tourist island. Again, hundreds of people were present. There was a small beach but this was not worth mentioning. In summary: The cruise is not that expensive but you don't get much for it either. For us, it was a disappointment. Rather pay more!! This is really not recommended.

6 of us chose to do this Oasis Bay party cruise instead of the classic Castaways as we wanted a more chilled experience. We met 2 other great people on the boat and ended up finishing our travels with them. This is a brilliant cruise where you are treated like royalty! From staying in hostels to staying in cabins and waking up to breathtaking views of Halong Bay really is incredible. We then stayed a night on a private island which again was brilliant and such a great experience spent with the best people. Thankyou!

I have done the Oasis Bay Party cruise twice with visiting friends, the first time in 2016, and then again this year. Both times were a blast, but I was impressed with how much the company has grown this year. The boat is the second largest in Ha Long Bay (per the crew), and the facilities were beautiful and clean. The staff really made this cruise though--Peter and Jack were our tour guides, and they were both fun and knowledgable. They also helped me retrieve a personal item I left on the island days after the tour was over! I could not be more grateful to them. Thank you again!!
