I highly recommend the driver João Vitor (tel.: +55 65 99110-1930). He drove us from the Cuiabá airport to our hotel in the Pantanal. He is very professional, punctual, speaks English, and drives carefully. His car is new, clean, and very comfortable. The trip went very smoothly. I will not hesitate to use his services again during a future stay.
If you are looking for an excursion to see a part of the pantanal I recommend this tour with Pantanal safaris and the Piuval lodge. Saw a lot of interesting animals like giant anteater, blue macaws, monkeys, and more! However it is tough to see Jaguars here, if that is the main draw I was recommended to go to Porto Jofre, as that is the main Jaguar hotspot. The tour guide Herley was very friendly and also spoke both English and Spanish, he was awesome. The food at the lodge was buffet style and very tasty, all the workers in the lodge were very nice (offered information and tips on animals as well). I think 3 days (2nights) is perfect for this excursion, especially if you are a bird lover!
the experience of living the pantanal alone is already incredible, living with the pantanal safaris so was the best I could have! counting the days to be able to live it again.
muito obrigado pela sua visita,e pele preferencia, te esperamos no proximo ano
We booked this amazing destination for a 3 night safari in the Pantanal area of Brazil to see Jaguars. We missed our flight so it unfortunately turned into a 2 night tour. I would suggest arriving a day early to avoid this situation. The airport in Brasilia is not run well and was a total nightmare. Our guide was so kind and even took us out on the last morning before we left for the airport to make up for the missed day. He did not have to do that for us but he did. In a day and a half we saw 9 different Jaguars. It was the best thing we did on our 18 day tour of South America. We were fortunate to stay on a houseboat in the middle of Jaguar country. So, we just hopped in the small boat and within minutes we saw Jaguars and more beautiful birds than I have ever seen. The food was good and the wine was refreshing. I actually cried when we left.
The tour guide was late picking me up from the hotel in Cuiba. He was supposed to pick me up at 8am he picked me up at 1pm He said he had another guest that arrived late so he had to go late morning to pick him up I missed 1 and 1/2 day of a 3 day tour It was stealing really I paid over 3000US dollars and I had 1 and barely another 1/2 day tour! The guide cater almost exclusively to the taste of the other traveler who was an ornithologist so we chased birds almost exclusively
Took the three day safari tour with Tito in late January 2025. Despite being out of season we got to see some really interesting animals! Tito was a great tour guide, really knowledgeable and spoke very good English. He was able to find some quite rare animals for the time of year based on little things such as noises or prints. You get plenty of time to discover some animals. We went to Hotel Piuval, which is a nice setting with lovely grounds and good food. Highly recommended.
From the moment I got picked up from my accommodation in Cuiaba to sighting animals not just on the road but also on the river, it was a great experience. I really loved the accommodation and our guide was top notch! (Seeing FIVE jaguars certainly helped male the trip amazing) Even when I accidentally dropped my phone rendering it inoperable on my last day, they went out of their way to make recommendations and even drove me by a phone repair shop before dropping me off at the airport.
My partner and I took this wonderful tour with Tito in February and we loved it. Everything was perfect, from the first email to the drop off at the airport. We stayed at Pousada Piuval 2 nights and we’re able to see a lot of birds and mammals, including the famous jaguars (not one but TWO!). The Pantanal nature is mesmerizing, the people very friendly. However, I have to say that the star of our trip was our guide TiTo who with his sharp eyes helped us to see all those amazing animals. We’re already planning to come back for a longer trip with these guys.
