Well worth getting up at 4:20 am in the morning to experience the park as it is waking up. Watching the sun rise behind the totem pole was not only a great view but also to experience it in the silence of the dawn was invigorating for the mind and soul. Our guide Derek took us to parts of the park you can only visit with a guide, the ear of the wind and the eagle cave as well as sharing his knowledge of Navajo lore - the singing and the flute playing were highlights that were so in keeping with the landscape. A nice twist was the last stop at John Ford Point, where we were able to take in the vista before the trail was open to others. Another great tour by a great guide, thanks for the pictures you took of us. Definitely recommend.
Derek took us on a beautiful sunrise tour. Just spectacular. Thank you Derek for all your knowledge, storytelling and kindness☺️
Great way to see the valley. Our guide was really good, knowledgeable and made the trip very interesting. It’s 3 hours but they go very quickly.
Derrick Holiday, our guide, was excellent. He knows Navajo history and culture intimately, as well as, the history of Monument Valley.
Best tour in the area. Derrick, our guide, was very informative and a truly wonderful person. We did the sunrise tour… highly recommended!!
The tour was a lot of fun. Our guide was super friendly and accommodating.
Guide was great and informative he took us to the best spots for photos and showed us some different angles to try . He also went out of his was to make sure the whole 3 hours was filled One small complaint it needs to be made clear that you must take not only the ticket for the tour but also the receipt for your entrance fee to the area , the local warden was very insistent we showed it even though we were guests at the lodges and had a room key . Not sure how else she expected us to get our luggage there if we didn’t pay at the booth
Jake was amazing. So special to watch the sunrise with him. Yes, it was early. But so special to be one of the few among the monuments. Saw all the gorgeous spots that visitors on the 17 mile loop are not allowed to go. It was very special to be welcomed into these special places and for Jake to share his culture with us. Thank you so much for having us!!
Wonderful experience. Bring glasses, sun glasses and face covering for sand/dust. Our guide was fantastic!
Had a great trip through Monument Valley. Clint, our guide did a fantastic job explaining many features. We covered a lot of ground, but plenty of time to get out for photos and explore. The sunrise was amazing, we had multiple stops for optimum sunrise photos. I would highly recommend this tour.
