Lots of walking but a great knowledgable guide that got us to all the “ must sees”. At the Sopia our divided groups were combined into one, much too large, group. It was hard to see each exhibit with so many people.
Dear Kenalyn, thank you for your comments. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the guide’s knowledge and the visit to the main highlights. We also appreciate your feedback regarding group size, which we will take into consideration. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo.
Many people say the Prado is the best museum in the world. We have to agree. Our tour of the Prado and Reina Sofía was spectacularly guided by “J.J.” He’s the most passionate guide we’ve ever had and his deep knowledge of art, history, and culture made this an unforgettable experience. He connected us to the art works in a special way and allowed us to see things in them that we never would have discovered on our own.
Gaby was a great guide providing a lot of detail regarding the history of Spain and about the museums. If you visit both museums be prepared to be standing a lot. The total tour takes 5 hours. Not much time to grab something to eat either.
The Prado was incredible! I don’t normally enjoy this type of art or so much religious iconography very much, but Anna Christina provided so much context and history that the two hours FLEW by. We had a similar experience with our guide at the Reina Sofia. (Sadly, I didn’t get her name.) They knew SO much and did such a wonderful job telling the stories of Picasso and Dali that it made everything even more interesting.
Dear guest, We’re happy to hear that Ana Cristina and the Reina Sofia guide made the visits so engaging and informative for you. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Amigo Tours – Rodrigo
