Our 2D/1N was hastily reorganised at the last minute due to a rock fall on the Inca Trail. Bamba Experience substituted a trek in the Sacred Valley with tour guide, Juan followed by a visit to Machu Picchu the next day with tour guide, Willy. What an experience. Willy insisted we take the first bus up to the site and then hike towards the SunGate to capture the first sunlight on Machu Picchu. Jimmy then took us on an extended tour of the ancient site sharing his extensive knowledge, his indigenous heritage and his sense of humour. Well done, Willy! Thank you.
This trip went by van, train and bus through beautiful nature. Everything was on time and everything went as planned. We had a nice balance where we got info when we needed it but still freedom to be by ourselves. Machu Picchu itselves was made even more interresting by our exellent guide Wilbur.
Without doubt the best travel experience I have ever had (regular traveler) Many issues happened. Ended up way behind times for connections. An incredible guide (Thanks Nico) who through many complications found immediate remedies to allow us to continue through. Next day missed our transit and Bamba again sent someone to pick us up to catch up (without us contacting them) so we had an incredible experience up Machu Pichu the next day. Unbelievable service when most tours are if your not there it's not there problem and don't care. Most highly reccomended company I have ever had the pleasure to travel with
We booked the Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain trips with Bamba and were impressed by their quick and reliable communication via WhatsApp and adaptability. We experienced a strike that impacted one of our trips, but Bamba was able to switch our reservation for another day with no cost added. We met lots of other independent travelers who were using Bamba, too, so it was nice to have a community. Great and knowledgeable tours! Would recommend to friends
Dear Kate, Thank you so much for choosing to travel with us and for posting a review on Tripadvisor. Know that everything goes well with your tours despite the strike makes us fulfilled, especially because our main goal it is helping our travelers to be even happier. =) We will be more than happy to see you again in another adventure with Bamba. All of us from Bamba wish you a lovely week! Cheers, Conceição De Camillis

Our family really enjoyed this tour. Obviously Machu Picchu was the the primary reason we travelled to Cusco, but we also wanted to see some of the other ruins and experience life in the area. We had some scheduling difficulties with our trip which were outside the control of the tour company, however they did a great job getting all of our tickets and guide arranged for us. Due to the scheduling issue, our train departure time from Ollantaytambo was pretty early in the day. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to stop in any of the towns mentioned in the description for this tour on the way up there. We were picked up early by van from our hotel and were driven to Ollantaytambo where we did have about an hour to explore. The train was great and we had most of the afternoon to wander around Aguas Calientes. Day 2 we were up early and met with our guide who helped us through the process of getting to Machu Picchu and provided a fantastic tour of the site. We explored on our own for a bit and made our way back down. The reason we give this tour a 4 instead of a 5 was the transportation provided to and from our hotel. Both drivers who picked us up from the train in Ollantaytambo and originally from our hotel did not speak english. We would have liked to hear about the area on the drive up and on the way back the driver proceeded to take us back to the tour company office instead of our hotel. Unable to explain where our hotel was, we instead just exited the car and walked back to the hotel from the office.
