Our tour begins in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with pick-up options available from Urubamba or Ollantaytambo. early in the morning From there, we’ll take a comfortable drive to the Ollantaytambo train station
From this point, you’ll board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, a charming town nestled at the base of the Andes and known as the gateway to Machu Picchu. As the train winds its way along the Urubamba River, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, lush valleys, and glimpses of local villages along the route. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our friendly staff will be waiting at the train station to welcome you and assist with everything you need before heading to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, where your once-in-a-lifetime adventure truly begins.
Arriving in Aguas Calientes, our team will be waiting at the train station to welcome you and assist with everything you need. From there, we’ll walk together to the Machu Picchu bus station to begin a 30-minute scenic ride up the winding mountain road that leads to the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Once inside, your expert English-speaking guide will take you on a comprehensive 3-hour tour through the most iconic temples, terraces, and sacred plazas of the Inca citadel. You’ll visit the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Sacred Rock, among other highlights, while learning about the history, engineering, and spiritual significance of this wonder. Then, capture the classic postcard photo of Machu Picchu, the best panoramic viewpoints in the site, a moment you’ll remember forever. After exploring, you’ll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes, where you can relax, enjoy lunch, or stroll through the local craft markets before continuing your journey.

A+++ Experience! Our guide Joel Guzman had PhD level knowledge about everything and tied historical, cultural and social factors together, to tell a rich story of the regional history, how the conquistadors played a role in Machu Picchu’s history and how this all relates to today. Would highly recommend for families. He knew the answer to every esoteric question we had and also knows all the tricks to take the best pictures of your family on your iPhone camera. :).
Great time, fantastic guide. Recommend to enter MachuPicchu at 6 a.m. to feel this place uncrowded and see the sunrise.
